I see this a whole lot more than I do drunk drivers.

Nothing more than a money grab for local jurisdictions and lawyers.

One beer is around 0.02

After one hour your bac is back to zero

So if I start tailgating at 7am for a football game at 7pm and finish a 12 pack, I'm gonna be stone cold sober at kickoff?

So you're saying I can chug 4 beers, wait an hour, and chug 4 more and be at 0.08? Ha, riiiiight.

No the body can only eliminate the alcohol from one drink per hour. So by the end of hour 2 you have 6 in you and be at .12-.13 if you weigh 185

I've come up on three accidents in the past two months. All three were the result of texting and driving. Why don't they focus on doing something about all the cell phone use when behind the wheel

What amazes me is that despite all the evidence showing how big a problem texting and driving has become, the car companies are making it easier for drivers to be distracted by their phones.

90% of the time someone is driving like an idiot, it's due to the phone. The other 10%, its a 90 year old on the road.

Anyway, with all of this DUI ridiculousness, I just flat don't drink at all if I'm driving. I hope Uber is having an impact on government's bottom line. If we get another '08 crash, they are really going to be desperate to squeeze people for DUI/traffic fines.

I actually admire this approach. I wish I had the same restraint.

Really won't affect me. When I'm out at a bar, unless I've got a DD, I have a personal one drink rule already. And even if I have a DD, I never get shitfaced anyway.

I don't really like margaritas very much. Usually I'll have either a beer or a bourbon and Coke.

99% are syrupy crap from a mix but if you are at a restaurant where they actually squeeze the lime and add tequilla and triple sec to make an authentic marg its MONEY

I like the taste of them but all the citric acid in them gives me heartburn. Same thing happens with screwdrivers.

This is pretty much light prohibition on going out. Our public transportation is shite. In most cities, you have to drive to the bar or call a taxi/uber, which is not abundant everywhere. shite, even in cities where Uber is just getting to the cops fight it because they know they are losing DUI revenue.

More DWI revenue and citizens with blood tests taken upon arrest for the national database. Win Win for everyone in our fight against terror that the Government will now be able to afford due to the DWI income.

Gets a little worse than that in practice.

At .02, virtually no one is going to be showing outward signs of alcohol usage. No slurring, swerving, depreciation of motor skills etc. So essentially, you are basically encouraging law enforcement to do breathalyzers after any lawful stop. And heaven forbid they want to push it to a blood screen to catch that .02.
