Help me out here. How does knowing someone's identity equal dropping the ball?
Would it not be more damming to have known his motives in advance?
The FBI absolutely knows my identity. Does that mean they should be able to prevent any criminal activity I may engage in?

I’m not saying this is the case here, but IF the government (admin) wants to brainwash and scare the populace into allowing more and more gun control by using a tragedy like this, all it takes is for the FBI to pull field ops off of a case and ALLOW it to happen. No need for a multi level conspiracy. Just like 9-11
