If they have palm and forearm prints from the rifle, shouldn't they be able to get his DNA and cross reference some databases?

They said in their update the FBI has sent the rifle off for analysis. That kind of thing takes time though.

How fitting is it that the shooter, in an attempt to not draw suspicion and fit into the crowd, wore an American flag shirt? So he’s acknowledging that patriots don’t do what he did and that those who do, are anti-American.

I don't know why people thought this was going to be a literal trans person.
