Yes. I also liked the Durango area. Getting stupid expensive but I really like the San Juan range.

Driven through many mountain towns, but I've only visited one on a vacation.

Stanley, ID.

Hard to get to, but it's really nice as long as you hit it when there's no smoke. It's routinely one of the colder areas in the nation, so snow starts early and finishes late.

downtown Winter park CO with a fresh snowfall we rode snowmobiles to get something to eat and parked them like a car would. Living in Louisiana all my life, i was blown away to say the least.

Just got back from a week trip to Durango, Silverton, Mancos and Cortez Co. Unbelievable weather even though we were there during the monsoon season, lol. Gonna try Telluride and Ouray next year.
