I’ve always loved WWII era aircraft. Here’s some of mine favorites based solely on aesthetics...

P40B

BF110

FW190-A8

P-38

Macchi C.205

HE111

(If you look closely you’ll notice this is a post-war Spanish HE-111 equipped with British Merlin engines)

SBD Dauntless

Douglas TBD Devastator

JU-87

B-24J

I started to include the IL2 but I’m about to have to call it a night so I figured I had enough on my OP.

No worries. The IL2 was a work horse but it's power was in production. It's Oleg Maddox's game itself that I was referring too.

P51 is the sexiest plane ever built.

I’ve said it before but the P51 reminds me of my favorite car, the 67 Stang. Something about their lines

I just found out that it's at the aviation museum in McMinnville, Or the other day. Really looking forward to taking a trip there to check it out.

I always liked the B-25 Mitchell. My Grandad flew one of these and helped bring Japan down.
