How long ago was this shooting at the Rack on Dallas Drive?
I went there quite a bit in the early '80s. Back then, it was ran or owned by a fellow named J.D.
J.D was a good man. I sometimes think about some of the people I met there and wonder whatever became of them.

Your post screams “I’m sucking every dollar I can out of social security”

Got plenty of Greenway stories too.
Would love to hear them.

I felt safe at Greenway. Was one of the regulars for a couple years. That didn’t mean they didn’t try to shark you though.
Parking lot was huge and no place to hide to jump you unless they were in a car. Lots of cash around but I think since it was such a shady place, vanilla armed robbers probably thought everyone had a gun.

Wrong.
Disability. My little finger hurts when I drink my chai.

I felt safe there as well. But you still needed to check out who was coming in the door. I would sometimes stay there for 3-4 days without leaving. Fraid I might miss out on an opportunity.
Yes, parking lot was huge. Over on the west side in front of where they had that big 9 ball tournament in an old store is where Elvis the night cleanup man lived in his car. That is until someone beat him to death with a tire iron. Guess they wanted that 2 dollars he sometimes carried.

Seems like you know your stuff..
Where/when can one go who isn’t any good, and just wants to have some fun, and may find some players who are similiar.
Close to the LP the better

Trickshots. This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He’s upset that they have AC in Louisiana?

For a short while there was a pool hall, the old ricochet's, called Chance’s.
It was great. Tables were good, beers were cheap, owner was nice.
I bet her a rack of ribeye that LSU would beat bama in 2019. Cooked a big gumbo for the game.
(I still have yet to collect on that one. I forgot her name)
Covid ruined that of course. Sad. It was a great place

I know. That was such a sudden closing. The place always seemed packed when I went. And they haven't done anything with that space since.
Are there any Fox and hounds left?

I'll play you some 8-ball. Name the time and place.
