Fauci wrote: "Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection.
"The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you."

Frankly the government should have butted out from the start, as I doubt the interventionism mattered much after about a month; but they are outright undermining the efficacy of the vaccine with this type of messaging

well I guess it depends on the person. Many if not most people here had a pretty good read on how this whole debacle was going to play out pretty early into this thing
Government is going to overpromise, underdeliver, and make sure they enrich themselves and secure more power in the process. Never let a crisis go to waste.

My thoughts exactly…of course, we have no way of really telling who has been vaccinated and who hasn’t. People can’t be trusted to tell who has been vaccinated and who hasn’t.
