Naw... his parents are going to blame racism.
Anywho- anyone else catch that the kid was going in for a hug towards the end but dear old dad did a handshake thing instead? Woof!
This must be that infamous "the talk" some people give their kids.
Hopefully it's just a bullshite internet post- hopefully.

I see kids with parents like that all the time. It sucks for the kid when they try to get and keep a job. Schools should not have to teach respectful behavior and good manners. Parents need to teach that at home.

His words says "Yes dad.", but the tone of his voice says he's not sure.

Idk if this is real or fake, but if staged I'm sure convos like this happen for real elsewhere. When I was younger I'd see this and think "man what losers" and move on with my day. But now having 2 young kids myself this hits different. I imagine my sweet innocent little boy accidentally bumping shoulders on the playground during playtime and being the victim of a disrespect beating, because the other boy is terrified that if he doesn't his dad will pummel him when he gets home. Makes me pre-angry for a situation that has never occurred. Sad all the way around.
It's why we moved from a school district with a high level of "won't tolerate disrespeck" possibilities to one where that mindset is non-existent. Couldn't be happier with our choice.

I think that’s the former convicted felon that had a story go viral because a woman called the police on him for walking into his own home

Sounds like a lesson in how to get your butt yanked out of a car, slung to the pavement, and placed in handcuffs, while you scream that you "dindu nothing" and that you can't breathe.

You can laugh at this post but this obviously wasn’t a real UGA fan. Don’t put that shite on us.
As for the OP, this is the primary reason education is failing. The message to me was to respect the teacher…a child doesn’t deserve nor need respect.

We've gone a long way from when a teacher could tell your dad about your misbehavior one Sunday at church, and how well behaved you've become the next.
My 1st grade teacher called my dad bc I was acting like an arse in her class. He left work to come spank me in the hall right outside the classroom. So not only was my arse on fire but I was embarrassed all to hell.
Never acted up again though.

That dad looks soft as baby shite. I'm quite sure his queen is calling the shots.

Nice.
to your dad. My dad would have pulled that move with a smile if tee'd up like that.
I did get ratted out by a teacher, and "corrected" by dad at home. A few times...

His father looks like a short insecure slob.
His Mother, judging by the camera angle, may be tall.
So I’m willing to bet if he takes that attitude with him everywhere, one of his peers is going to teach him some respect sooner or later.

First off, you earn respect, not demand it
Second. The supposed father in this video is not talking about respect. He is teaching the child how to make people fear him, not respect hm.
People like the adults in this video know nothing about respect. They have no respect for themselves or others. They only operate on fear / intimidation. This is what leads to the high incarceration rates and youth death rates in minorities like the ones in this video. It's learned behavior.

Imagine that, teachers and parents working together for what’s best for the kid. Don’t see much of that nowadays.
In today’s world, your dad would have left work to come scream at your teacher. I’m not kidding, this is literally what happens. Whether the school is Title I or in the most affluent area in town, the parents are doing roughly the same thing; removing any obstacles and hardships for their kids and strongly opposing anything that would challenge their kids.
This is why K-12 education is falling off a cliff. It’s not the teachers and staff, it’s all the parents essentially getting what they’re demanding…an easy, unimpeded path for their kids.

I’m wondering if the kid would be better off if you removed that chubby, homeless looking idiot from his life.
Then again, sounds like mom is filming it so I’m just going to hope the kid turns out OK in spite of his parents.

The video itself maybe but that conversation has definitely been happening, especially in regards to teachers. It’s not like it used to be when a parent would hear a teacher out if they report their kid is having an issue in class. Now it’s the teacher’s fault or “the classroom is your issue, not mine”. Shitty parents have absolutely been a huge component to undermining teachers and education with this mentality.
