Me too, but a little older, farting around in the woods. It's funny how fast your friends run away from you when the swarm is on you.

Yeah I did this twice in my childhood. Ground hornets are the worst. Those little frickers hurt bad when they sting. Much more painful than a regular wasp sting. Apparently these giant asian wasps melt your skin off. I can't even imagine what these guys were going through on that zip line.

You know what I have never wanted to do? Go ziplining in fricking Laos.

This is the kind of stupid shite people with too much money and time on their hands come up with. I feel really bad for the kid. He probably didn't even want to go.

That is extremely over exaggerated.

The guide probably stayed focused on getting down to the ground where you can run like hell.

Horrible way to die

We should breed them and add this to the capitol punishment methods used for pedos and traitors.

Lethal injections via murder hornet stings.

That would take care of the drug shortage.

Take off the wings and that thing almost looks like the size of the Shrimp that comes from an Asian country.

My dad(RIP) ran over a live yellow jacket nest on the mower one evening.

I never saw him run as fast as he did before or after that.

Unlikely. The only place they’ve actually been found in the US is the Pacific Northwest. If you see big arse wasps like that in NC they’re probably cicada killers.. which, while disturbingly large, are basically harmless.

The ones I've killed are honestly more orange and black like the Asian Hornet. Looked just like that one.

The cicada killer looks more yellow and black than what I've seen. And it looks a little differently shaped.

I'm fairly positive. I'll take a picture next time I see one. I'd like to know actually to make sure.

ive been to Laos many times for business and for travel and despite their recent surge in popularity, it is still not really ready for the level or tourism it gets now. Places like Vientiane and border towns are filled with gangsters, heroin, meth, and some seriously dangerous people. It is not the first place I would recommend for young people to go exploring. I have heard several stories of kids dying in Vang Vieng while doing ziplines, bungee jumps, and especially the river tubing.

Laos gets a good bit of tourists, and takes their money, but the infrastructure is not there yet. It can be a paradise in some ways, but it is not a country you want to find yourself in trouble in.
