The really coolest of kids, like the athletic dudes who were lucky enough to have already hit puberty, dated some in 5-6 grades. This was in early 90s. But these dates were like hanging out at each others homes (not alone) or going to the skating rink. Maybe a very few were fricking in 6th grade, not sure. Definitely was not common.
And definitely not 10 year olds.

But something tells me that isn't real and was just made for content and clicks. Because regardless of age, who the frick buys a shite ton of gifts to give someone on a first date? Four Stranger Things figurines and an iPad "so he can FaceTime me"? So several hundred dollars (guessing) for gifts for a first date? Yeah, not buying that that is real at all (although I know stupidity like this does exist).
