Let me put it this way. I don't know for sure because I wasn't there and if it did happen God Bless all the poor children and their parents. I've studied it a lot and personally feel it was staged and I hope it was, because if not then a bunch of kids got murdered. But I agree the crisis actor stuff is a red hering to make CTs look like total idiots. There are shills who do stuff like that to destroy genuine questioning.

Sorry if I missed it, but can you give me a logical answer to this:

quote:

what is their explanation for the hoax? That every single teacher, school board member, every single parent of the entire school, and I'm sure 100s of people in town are in on it?

You don't just make up names of fake people who died without someone in town raising an eyebrow if it's not legit. Though I never read the actualy conspiracy, is it just screaming from the rooftops with no actual legit theory?

My boyfriend was a camp counselor to one of the victims. He can't listen to these "truther" conspiracy idiots. He gets really upset.

I live here. I have kids that age. I've tried to confront those who believe it's a hoax, and strangely no one has any questions for me. Just seems questionable with as much as these truthquesters love to investigate everything. You'd think one would at least say "hey there is a guy on reddit claiming to live in Newtown, we should tear apart his claims and reveal his true identity as a govt agent."
If I didn't know better I would assume that they only want to consider evidence that supports their theories.

I live in the area. I have friends who had siblings in the school, most people in Newtown know one or more of the families involved. I can assure you whatever the cause. Those children are dead. What inconsistencies are you revering to? The wild guesses the media took for the first 6 hours after the incident?

A coworker's wife is a teacher at Sandy Hook and was there the day of the shooting. Saying she's messed up about what happened is over-simplifying it.

RIght.

For this to be a conspiracy, virtually the entire town has to be on it, how is that remotely possible?

how can people really believe they would pull off something like this as being a hoax

there's always a ton of misinformation in cases like this.. especially with so many different agencies working the case..

i know snopes has debunked a lot of these conspiracy claims.

i just have a hard time believing something like this could be pulled off, but who knows..

One of the fathers held a press conference the following day. He was seen smiling and apparently that's proof that this whole thing was a conspiracy

I never understood why that's such a big deal, everyone grieves differently. When one of my best friends passed away his wife seemed fine that first day. She was socializing and laughing with people. It wasn't until a couple days later that she completely lost it and broke down.

If you are a delusional wacko anything can look like a conspiracy.

Occam's Razor is nothing. Just an explanation for efficient thinking. It isn't normative.

Occam's Razor could've been used agaisnt people in the Middle Ages who claimed the earth is round.

Also, I doN'T go into SH or anything similar wanting to find a conspiracy (btw, a conspiracy takes 2 people "breathing together" to commit a crime--that's fairly common). Same with stuff like Making A Murdered and Serial.

Something screwy happened after the shooting at Sandy Hook. A lot was screwy about Adam Lanza for years before the shooting.

I agree it would be an absurd gun control tactic to try to stage this whole thing and pay everyone off. However, it is NOT crazy to think something fricked up was going on besides the synapses in AL's brain.

I think people who prohibit questioning are just as dangerous as the people who want to find a government scheme or hoax in every tragedy.

Right, it's circumstantial evidence at its finest. Conspiracy theorists love using circumstantial evidence as proof- "he wouldn't have acted like that" or "she would have been more scared". Everyone is different.

Anyone who thinks this event was staged flat out sucks as a person

I'm not arguing in favor of CTs, but you do realize that circumstantial evidence is used every day to hold people both criminally and civilly responsible, right?

Do you have to believe SH was staged, to question anomalies?

There were plenty of motivations for plenty of people to have done plenty of fricked up things in the wake of SH.

Also, while I'm not a "truther," unless you were there and/or have a loved one whom you know died there, why would you have that attitude? I understand that you think people are nuts to believe it was staged. But why not just hold to that believe and continue supporting it rather than calling other people horrible people and wishing they'd go to hell just for believing something you think is dumb?

You and other angry people on this board seem to be conflating CTs' lack of belief that someone died with not caring that someone died.

I just get angry at the CT's who reach their conclusion from day 1 that these major events were staged. They have made up their mind, then they just piece together the pieces to reach their preformed conclusion.

Could some benefit by faking mass shootings? Yeah. But implying a group of people carried this out is saying there are 100's or 1000's of soulless individuals who coordinated a fake shooting, of fake children with fake names who had fake funerals, and the teachers who witnessed it were actors, and the people who knew the victims were all actors, and not a single one of them admitted to being a part of it.

You know what's easier to believe? That a mentally ill kid imitated past mass shootings and killed a bunch of people. That takes only one malicious person.

So, in my opinion, if you think sandy hook was an act, then you are really dumb (not directed at you mclemore), and also completely insensitive to those who lost their kids.

He's referring to this. There was a voice over in one 'documentary'that encouraged you to believe this guy was acting. (I'm do not believe this was a CT. I did watch some youtubes and yes there are things that are strange.)

You wanted to see pictures of murdered child corpses plastered all over the internet? Are you some kind of violence pervert or something?

Although, seeing as how gun laws in Germany, Britain, Australia and elsewhere were all spurred by "school shootings," I can definitely see why people would be skeptical.

Well, maybe not. But he knows that their are bad people and bad governments doing things.
No mention of any facts about Sandy Hook though.

The problem with this statement is that the CT's are infatuated with everything that is unbelievable in life being a suspense thriller. It's not about seeking the truth. It's about seeking a story that fits in with that narrative.

It is unbelievable for humanity's sake that Sandy Hook or 9/11 could happen. Not in the sense that it is literally unbelievable, but as a figure of speech unbelievable. The CT's need to go ahead and take a huge dose of there really are despicable people in this world instead of going the angle that it's too bad to be true. Accept reality.
