This is the saddest thing of all. You see 4-7 year olds that are tubs of lard, walking around with their tub of lard parents.

Those kids never had a chance. They're on the fast track to the betus.

Sure they do, go fat shame them. Lol. I'm positive it will work.

Lol, some of you are so full of shite. I bet most of you have never been more than 30 pounds over what is considered your ideal weight.

I ate healthier growing up than any kid around me and I was still overweight. Im nearly 40 and only weigh 30 more pounds than I did when I graduated high school.

Actually, I take that back, that was the first time I lost alot of weight was when I graduated. I was about 230. I lost down to 180. I did it by skipping lunch at school. Running after school, and eating a 150 calorie sandwich for dinner.

I kept that up for my first few years of college and stayed in the 180 to 190 area.

About 5 years ago I lost down to about 220 and kind of stalled out there. I did it pretty much keeping calories around 1000-1500 and running everyday.

During those times I was super calorie counting cause I was trying as hard as I could to loose weight and be skinny. So I know I wasn't eating more than I thought, etc.

One or the other. You don't need both. Eating a bowl of watermelon (no racist) isn't good for you when you've already had Oreos. It's just a bunch of sugar.

So no self control?

Yea that's a typical excuse

You mean no self control over the most primitive of instincts?

If you want to succeed long term you eat a calorie deficit but you do it with foods that actually have nutrition

I would say that there is a 0% chance that you or anyone else could run a calorie deficit long term eating only donuts. You would absolutely fail 100% of the time.

At this point I just assume you're making all this up. Either that or you're just retarded. Your constant use of "loose" instead of "lose" does support that.

Well tell me pecker, what should I eat?

In this thread vegetables, bread, fruit, and cheese are obviously out. So just meat?

My point is that not everyone that is overweight eats junk food all the time and takes in tons of calories of sweets and fast food.

Everything you've listed is full of sugar and carbs. Eating fast food has jack all to do with it. Fast food places have healthy options dumbass.

Just full of excuses.

Let's pretend you're not full of shite. What you're telling me is that you have to work harder than other people to live a healthy lifestyle because you inherently pack on weight at a rate greater than other people.

Why should I feel bad for you? There are varying degrees of effort that go into everything we do when compared to others. Why does that matter? Some people have to work harder in school. Some people have to work harder at relationships. Some people have to work harder at fitness. We all have deficiencies in some part of our lives that we have to compensate for. You don't get bonus points for it being difficult for you.

That said, I don't believe that you magically put on tons of weight by consuming minimal calories due to some genetic anomaly. If you disagree then I have a foolproof way to change your genetics: go on a 48-hour fast (this is not unhealthy btw). 48 hours no food - only water. Watch how quickly your genetics change.

Who is saying vegetables are out?

You can gorge yourself on broccoli to the point of throwing up and it'd be maybe 300 calories. Veggies (not starches like potatoes) are one of the best ways to fill yourself up with minimal calories.

We not only don't "fat shame," we "fat celebrate." They are heroes.

From Bradley University:

"Fat acceptance advocates work toward goals which promote size diversity. After all, humans come in all shapes and sizes! Part of this acceptance is the preferred use of the term “fat”. Activists hope that this word can be de-stigmatized and embraced in our culture.

"Activists propose that the concept of an “ideal” body size or weight be abandoned entirely. Height and weight tables delineating “ideal” body proportions are based on Caucasian body types. The genetically distinct body types of people of color are not considered in the formulation of “ideal proportions”."

quote:

. In the words of fat acceptance advocate Monica Persson, “when we reclaim the right to eat, focus on our lives, and stop giving our money to the diet industry, anything is possible.”

Notice how they try to make it a race (black/white, not Asian) issue. Given the disproportionately high rate of diabetes in African-Americans, I would view the "fat acceptance" movement as anti-black.

One more quote:

quote:

give them strength to be who they are in a society that isn’t nearly large enough for them

I never asked you to feel bad for me. I understand that some people are smarter than others, some people are more physically gifted than others, etc.

I also believe that it's easier for some to keep weight off and build muscle mass than others.

I don't expect anyone to feel bad for me, I don't feel bad for myself.

I had an Arbys ultimate BLT , large curly fry, and the biggest cup of regular coke I could get for lunch yesterday. I had a fat arse plate of spaghetti last night before bed, and that was after a 6 pack of Frio 6.0 beer. Eating a chocolate long john with a cup of sugary coffee right now.

frick all you haters.

Certain ones are, but that doesn't mean they are all out. You're just being lazy to justify not doing anything different.

Just get rid of the bread and pasta

Meat, vegetables, and fruit and you'll start slimming down in no time

Do some body weight exercises like pushups and situps if you're able to. Do some squats with no weight. No need to drive to and from the gym and spend a ton of time there

Spend 10 minutes tops a day doing these exercises

If you do all of the above you'll get in better shape. In fact 2 months of doing that and you'll be lighter on your feet and have more muscle mass which will help with your metabolism

Someone mentioned the diet/hormone correlation earlier in this thread. I suggest that you get testosterone levels checked, although educate yourself before following any treatments regarding long-term risks.

With time being limited, try to incorporate pushups (even if 1st thing in morning or at work) and pullups (playing with kids at park). Increasing muscle mass with greatly aid metabolism. I'm on the thinner side (175 lbs) and feel that my metabolism is greatly helped by the fact that I lift weights often.

frick off!!! Lucky my kids got some good genes somewhere. I try to get them to eat fruits and veggies as much as I can, but they still love junk food. Those kids are skinny as can be and probably eat twice what I do calorie wise now.
