She had serious postpartum depression that absolutely wrecked the marriage. My friend has still never recovered from it. He tried everything to get her help and she decided to go scorched earth. I'm not totally blaming her because postpartum depression can be a bitch.
That shite is no joke. If my marriage was ever in trouble, it was during those times.

In my wife's family, both meet living in Paris..came back for parties in Greenwich then back to Paris for a week long party and wedding. Over the top expensive..lasted about 6 months when she apparently decided to switch teams.

True from what I’ve seen.
If someone has an activity they do which is time consuming and can involve a lot of travel, they will generally start fricking someone doing the same thing if the spouse isn’t part of those trips.

don't understand this. Who is paying the bills? How does she not know that he is not bringing in money? Unless he was also a weed dealer....
Best I could figure he had money saved up? Mommy and daddy helping...who knows??? Kinda blew my mind too!

We all told them not to do it. It was so obvious that it wouldn't work. Guess they had to find out themselves.
Just went through this with a friend of the SOs.
Relatively normal guy. 40s, divorced, works full-time for a large company here in Louisville but travels for his job a fair amount. First marriage ended when he was 30 because they were pretty miserable together at that point. Hadn't really dated anyone seriously since the divorce. Admittedly didn't want to settle back down (and everybody pretty well understood that). Seemed pretty content as a single guy.
In about October, he started mentioning this girl Kate that he "grew up with" that he reconnected with after one of his work trips out in Colorado. Next thing you know he's flying out every week to see her. She has three kids and is supposedly transferring her federal government job here to be with him. Only one of the kids were going to come with her because the others didn't want to leave their Dad. Had never stepped foot in Kentucky in her whole life. We (myself, the SO, and two of our mutual friends) meet her one time when she's in town. Oddly, she doesn't know a whole lot about him and lets it slip to one of our friends that they actually met online when he was out on a work trip in September. Weird.
We get a call around Halloween that they're going to elope. A mutual friend basically sits down to have an intervention with him, telling him he needs to slow down. That maybe it'd be best to let her move here and spend some time living together before jumping in the deep end. He gets really, really pissed. Calls my SO to ask if we feel the same way, we tell him we do and that we're just concerned about him. He pretty much stops speaking to everyone, but remains connected on social media.
They elope and for about two months they're posting a ton of pics and shite on social media about how they're so in love. Then all of a sudden it stops. Cold turkey. She completely hides her social media accounts and is no longer connected with his. He finally admitted in February that they got an annulment but we don't have any real details. He's still not really speaking to any of us.

About 8 or 9 years ago (or so) a guy I went to high school with got married to a girl. Maybe three weeks later, he starts making Facebook posts about how his wife wouldn't have sex with him. He'd whine very publicly about how they waited for marriage to have sex. He said they didn't have sex on their wedding night. He said she was too tired. He said they had sex once on their honeymoon, and then she wasn't feeling well. Then they didn't have sex at all when they got back from the honeymoon.
Sad. I can't say that 20 years ago I wouldn't have found myself in this same situation.
If a woman won't have sex or doesn't enjoy sex with you that's a huge red flag IMO.

ut the fact that literally everyone was blasting HIM for divorcing his wife who would not have sex with the guy.
The social conditioning that she's innocent in all of this is detestable, but I do kind of blame him for putting himself in this situation in the first place. She pretty much saw him as a provider and not a sexual partner. Did he think she was going to turn into some nympho on wedding night?

Not sure the exact amount of time but it was under a year. A friend from college married a chick and it was clear he was out kicking his coverage. They posted a few pics on social media, but nothing out of the ordinary. All of a sudden it stops. Pics deleted. This was about 3 years ago. We all think she realized her looks and left him. He's happily remarried now.

When you say "legit" if you mean legit looking on the surface, like two mid 30's successful people that appear to be wholesome christian people, and real good looking, then 6 months. They married 3 months after they met. I got to know both well and even slept with the wife. Before that he was recruiting black teenage girls on facebook as future girlfriends.
Another one of my old girlfriends from 20 years ago I still talk to on Facebook. She's been married 4 times and she's 40. She's hot as hell too. She's with a guy now she don't wanna marry but don't wanna leave. The only thing she don't like about this guy is he can't carry on an intelligent conversation. Her theory is "marriage" is what kills a good relationship. I may end up getting back with her
Holy meth rant, Batman.

I find couples that get married and still hang out in bar rooms as their source of entertainment have a 100% chance of failure.
I know I married couple (married just over two years) who recently split. She is gorgeous and likes to party and he knew that about her before he started dating her but thought she would outgrow it. A few years later it's still going on (he was usually with her) and they had some knockdown drag out fights when she was drinking.
On the advice of his attorney he changed the locks on the house and got a restraining order and was smart enough to protect his assets before they formally separated. Saw him last Friday night and he said they were talking about a possible reconciliation but she would have to go through a 12-step first. There is strong evidence that she started seeing another guy (someone I know) within a week of getting the boot but my buddy is not aware as far as I know and I'm staying out of it.

People who “loud cap” their love over social media are usually the most likely to get divorced.
Now that I think about it you are absolutely right. I have a female friend who is on her 4th marriage. She posts constantly how much she is in love and how perfect her current husband is.
And then out of the blue she is divorced again.
She aint 40 yet...

You might not have as good of a shot as you think if that's an issue she has

Wedding night.....bride was getting tagged from behind in bathroom by one of the groomsmen. True story. Then they got the quickest divorce ever. Bride and stud started shacking up. 9 mos later stud came home and former bride was in flagrante delectum with a woman from work. Real shite show. Bride was from a rich family, an LSU sorority girl. Apparently bride had developed a big time coke habit. This was about 25 years ago.
If you’re going to date a woman that got divorced from your buddy for fricking you on her wedding night, I guess you’re not bright enough logically assume you’re going to be sharing that pussy for as long as you stay in the game.

I've been thinking about this one as I read the remaining 3 pages. I'm glad the last post was in reference to it. I just cannot understand how this is possible. It seems insane on both sides. I get that things may drift apart over time during a marriage and cheating happens, but to do it during your actual wedding is crazy. The odder part of this is the groom fricking the bride. This is supposed to be one of the groom's closest friends and he's betraying him in probably the most despicable way possible. I don't know how the groom moved on after all this.

My high school girl friend told me she knew she didn’t love her husband the first night of their honeymoon. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this past January, so define “fail”.

Some gals just need several dicks to be happy. She was probably fricking that groomsman long before the wedding. Or the story is made up.
You can only move on from that by fricking her mom.
