Dude I know got married. They were legit couple. On the honeymoon she looked at his phone while he was on the shower, found he’d been looking at porn during their “pre marriage celibacy period” and accused him of cheating. He very quickly told her to frick off. She went nuts. He told her to hit the road.
I also know another guy got married. New wife cheated on him on the honeymoon. And he knew. They split immediately. But honeymoon was a cruise so major fricking awkward.
Both stories were on cruises actually. Explains the trashiness.

A very good friend of mine married his long time girlfriend from high school. They were a terrible couple. They fought constantly, cheated constantly. Not really sure why they thought married life would be different. All his friends told him not to go through with it. His groomsmen were taking bets on how long the marriage would last on the alter.
It went downhill almost immediately. Ended up around 18 months. He married a psycho afterwards and that one lasted a few years.
His current wife is one of the nicest people I know. She is wonderful. We told him we get her if they get divorced. Some men learn their lesson after the first. Other need several reminders.

This is 2 weddings that I've stood in. We all told them not to do it. It was so obvious that it wouldn't work. Guess they had to find out themselves.

Yes. Tried hard in school, built up a good resume, got a professional degree, and worked hard. Married someone smart and competent. Saved and invested. Didn't commit crimes. Didn't have kids out of wedlock.

My cousin and his ex-wife filed for divorce about 5 months in. She found out that he banged this chick when he was out of state for work.
The best part is the girl's husband found the number and called my cousin's wife to tell her. The husband worked with my cousin and had gotten arrested on the night my cousin banged his wife.

Knew a guy who was two years clean when he got married. On their honeymoon, he met up with some spring breakers and rode the horse. Wife filed for divorce when they got back. They had a 60-day waiting period, I think, but after that she was gone.

Brenda and Eddie got married at the end of July 1975 and got divorced by the end of the summer of 75.

I've got a family member who has been engaged 3 times (still in his 3rd engagement). Never seems to get to the wedding, though. I dont see this engagement lasting (they've already been "on a break" before).

Yeah, but I'm not really looking for people who are former heroin addicts or strippers or who vacation at Indian Creek. I'm talking about college+ grads with good jobs and large support networks. People who make a big arse deal about their wedding and then roll it back soon after.

Wedding night.....bride was getting tagged from behind in bathroom by one of the groomsmen. True story. Then they got the quickest divorce ever. Bride and stud started shacking up. 9 mos later stud came home and former bride was in flagrante delectum with a woman from work. Real shite show. Bride was from a rich family, an LSU sorority girl. Apparently bride had developed a big time coke habit. This was about 25 years ago.

My own was on the rocks after less than a year and a half. By our 2 year anniversary, we were already separated. Granted, we had issues going in.

Live and learn brother. You absolutely will learn what you can tolerate or not if you get married a little later in life. I didn't necessarily follow my own advice but luckily we've been able to work through our issues which weren't major. Be mentally mature if you try again. Very few of us were at <25

I've seen you post about it before, but am sorry nonetheless. Any hindsight about what fricked up your judgment going into it, if anything? Obviously some things are bolts from the blue, but I have to think something must be going on for most people before they tie the knot.
