I believe it.

4 types of left lane drivers

1. I am the law and driving fast enough. You don't need to go any faster.
2. Low IQ - completely oblivious to the world around them.
3. I feel safe in the left lane
4. Assholes. They're assholes every minute of the day.

I think plenty of them have awareness, they just don't care. There's plenty of room in front of them and in the lane beside them (since they are going about the same speed as the vehicle to their right) and that's as much as they concern themselves with.

They don't realize they are every bit as shitty a driver as the assholes who swerve across multiple lanes because they just realized they were about to miss their exit.

This maneuver is more about avoiding getting rear ended.

Because people are driving too damn fast and aren’t paying attention. Then there’s always a few baws in their lifted trucks, who seem to use the shoulder as an extra lane to pass everyone.

You could've just said "Drivers In BR".

Left lane, middle lane, right lane....Pick your poison.

Personally, I'd rather deal with a damn slowpoke than an aggressive driving idiot trying to do 75 on Airline during rush hour- because he's always the one who ends up causing a fatality- and lives.

If there's not traffic, I always pass these people up through the median between the ramp and the interstate where it's concrete, but painted lines. I'm usually past them and moving back over to the right line by the time they are fully on the interstate.

Drivers have absolutely gotten worse in the last couple years. It seems like only about 10 percent if us drive correctly any more.

There is no fast lane there is only a slow lane.
The speed limit is still the speed limit.

Give them some slack. They are taking their time reading all the PI Attorney billboards on the way to work and sipping on coffee daydreaming about legal lotto opportunities LA encourages.

I swear the highest concentration of terrible drivers is the 10-12 corridor between BR/Hammond/NOLA. Go ahead and thrown in the actual cities of BR and NOLA and I'm pretty sure that clinches it.

Abject ignorance and stupidity or willful spite. Regardless, I hate every last one of them with an irrational anger and wish nothing but ill will towards every last one.

the 10/12 loop is the worse. I would say that they should design roads based off of the average commuters iq, but these people can't drive on a straight section of 12 without wrecking

Traffic law question:

Does the fast lane/passing lane only apply for interstate travel? Or does it apply to 4 lane highways.... like for example Airline Hwy?

If I'm going to be turning left up ahead somewhere btw 1-3 miles I'll stay in the left lane (not driving slow), but also noticed on occasion I'll get dirty looks or aggressive drivers using the right lane to go around me.

It applies to Airline as well. I don't know the exact distance but it certainly isn't 1-3 miles. Probably more like 200-300 ft.

Use all that concrete.

Just watch for debris. And if you see some, it will still be there 3 months later...

It should be legal to pit maneuver them into a ditch.
