Any truth to the urban myth that the Red Beans and Rice at Copeland's arrives there in Popeye's plastic bags?
There's some dollar box of jambalaya mix (brand is some generic name like "Creole") that's made by Tony Chachere -- in fact it even comes in a Tony C. pouch. Same stuff as in the $1.79 Tony C. box?

If you're buying boxed jambalaya mix you've already messed up, no matter who makes it.

Fancy?

""Would they rather I use some other brand, like Sysco, which I can buy for 40 cents a strip? At Popeye's I pay $1.60 a strip and we use three."

I didn't know that they were even on the West Coast. Even at $13 for some tenders, that's way better than an In and Out burger.

Shut your filthy mouth.

In what world is a counter service restaurant 'fancy'? I guess if it's in California it must be fancy!

If you think about the logistics of the fryer, the oil, the disposal, California probably has some punitive ordinance to because of health of the food; they probably come out buying it for brunch on Sundays. If it is there main business, not so much.

Sweet Dixie Kitchen owner Kimberly Sanchez defended the practices of her restaurant and responded to the original review, stated that they "PROUDLY SERVE" Popeyes chicken.

Also on the menu is their famous burger served with 2 all beef patties and special sauce on a sesame seed bun!

I'm going to cut you some slack since it looks like you are from LA but In and Out isn't much better than the golden arches.

Well I'm from LA originally and now I live in the other LA (Lower Alabama). In N' Out always prepares fresh food daily. I am not above eating at MC D's once in a blue moon, but it's not fresh stuff. I just like fresh better.

I grew up in Lower Alabama as a kid but spent some time in SoCal as an adult. I was never impressed with In N Out.

In N Out is still a fast food burger, but it's far above McD imo

Tastes like a Quarter Pounder with Cheese to me. Whataburger is 10 times better.
