Tastes like a Quarter Pounder with Cheese to me. Whataburger is 10 times better.
We had this debate a lot with Texas folks (and it never stops to be fair), but I have some love for Whataburger too. Their Chorizo Burger is awesome.
I think the foods you really enjoy the most are the ones you grow up with as a kid.

quote: Any truth to the urban myth that the Red Beans and Rice at Copeland's arrives there in Popeye's plastic bags? It wouldn't be hard to believe. Diversified Foods makes the red beans used by Popeyes. Until recently, Al Copeland owned DF. He was also the founder of all theee brands.
After his bankruptcy, Al managed to hold on to his spices mixes and his estate was still selling them, last I heard.
In and Out burgers have freshness on their side and the fries work if they are smothered in 'special'sauce.

if they really wanted to bring popeyes to these people, they would have to tell them it'll be a 15 minute wait for chicken and waffles

It sucked big time when the Copeland's in Pensacola closed. Used to love that place. Sucked worse for the employees though. Nobody told them about the closure, and they showed up dressed for work and found it chained and locked shut.

No question. The better question would be, Popeyes, or Canes?

Went to a restaurant along the NC beaches about 15 years ago. They had all you can eat shrimp. They ran out and sent the workers to the local grocery and then started serving small breaded shrimp, 6 to a plate and people all over the restaurant were complaining and demanding their money back. 19.99 all you can eat shrimp.

I tried Copeland’s a number of times and wanted to like it but for some reason it just disappointed. There are too many local places in Louisiana that put Copeland’s to shame IMO.

Popeyes is straight garbage no doubt aboot it. Their chicken seems of the lowest of qualities, similar to churches chicken.

I didn't know that they were even on the West Coast.
Popeyes is worldwide. Have them in Asia and Europe too.

No. It's simple, Flavor or bland with ketchup/mayo crap?

There’s so much drama in the LBC
