What if the guy playing Santa had a kid with the same condition who died and seeing this kid caused him to be TRIGGERED.

The SJWs never wait for the why behind things. Instead they jump the gun on shite.
Would these same parents screaming at the Santa still be pissy? How about they just STFU and be grateful for the picture they took with the kid.

Bro, he's 13 months old and looks asleep. I don't think he's going to remember, and he'll have more opportunities

So, they were either outraged enough to notify the media and retain legal counsel or they are simply feigning outrage in order to leech off the guilt industry for free stuff. On the one hand they are way too sensitive about the seemingly reasonable and cautious actions of a store Santa offering free photos. On the other hand, they are malicious scumbags using their child's medical condition in a cynical shakedown racket.

This. These people are part of the SJW grievance culture and are trying to get free stuff off of this. You think Bass Pro told USA Today about this? Not likely. It was the mom ginning up the Guilt Machine because she sees dollar signs.

some people need to get a fricking life

They just wanted their son to have a picture sitting on Santa's lap like ALL the other kids. How do you suggest they , as you said it, "Get a fricking Life"? Because they want their son to have some sense of normalcy in his life they are in the wrong here?

quote:

Who are we to judge?

This is what you said while you were judging these people for simply wanting a picture of their son on Santa's lap. How ignorant and hypocritical are you?

people with downs make me super uncomfortable

If we didnt know already that you are a loose, stinking a-hole, we sure know now. I'd say that i hope you have a special needs child to show you some humility but i wouldnt want to put that poor child in a situation where he/she has to rely on a moron like you to survive. Merry Christmas, frickboi!

It was about them, not their son. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but let's not pretend this had any impact on the baby.

Obviously not, as he is a baby and wouldnt remember this, special needs or not. But is it really too much to ask for that their son gets to sit on santa's lap and take a picture like everyone else? Maybe the Santa didnt sit down with the boy because he wanted to be careful with him as he just saw him being unhooked from a breathing apparatus, but if the parents asked him to take a normal picture, thats what he should have done. Maybe they took their son back after the standing pic and didnt say anything to santa about wanting a sitting pic at all. I dont know. I just didnt agree with the jackass that said the parents needed to get a life.

It was FREE. Stop thinking everyone in the world works for you when you have problems.

If it was so important to them, they could have

A. Briefed the guy on the situation so he wasn't worried about the child
B. Gone to a professional studio
C. Had a family member dress up like Santa
D. Simply said "Thank You!" for the cute, FREE picture

But they didn't do any of that, they ran to the media to complain.

Same here. I can't be around them. Sorry. It freaks me out. My wife passes out at the sight of blood. My daughter is scared of clowns.

ETA: If some dude unplugged a sick child from some medical apparatus and handed it to me, I get rid of it as quickly as possible. Especially if I didn't know wtf was going on.

Seriously why is she mad at Santa? He was just trying to get the child back to the breathing tube that apparently he needs to survive. Sounds like Santa knows more about what is ultimately best for their child than the parents. A free photo is not worth taking if you child needs a breathing tube.

If you unhook your kid from a ventilator and hand him to me I'm probably going to think time is of the essence to get the kid back to you so, you know he can frickin breath.

But the thing is, this kid isn't "special needs". He has a serious health issue. This isn't some kid that walked up to Santa with a case of autism and might have an outburst. The guy probably literally has no idea what is wrong with the child and is likely very concerned about his health. The child doesn't even look remotely healthy. I have no problem being around special needs kids but a kid with a serious health condition is a whole different ball game.

I don't get the outrage, The pic looks fine. Baby was on a respirator so I don't blame Santa for thinking the photo had to be fast and then return the baby to the parents

It's not like he refused to take the picture.. This was a special situation. The picture actually looks great IMO just the way they took it. but they want a regular photo for their child and I understand that..

They should just go to another Santa is all..

Wish he had just taken a regular photo though.

You bring your vent dependent child to sit on santas lap?

You unhook him? That would freak out anyone who has seen a loved one on a vent or a movie with a vent, much less a tracheotomy tube ventilator.

Plus it's a Bass Pro Santa. His lap was probably a Petri Dish and the Santa probably knew it. Maybe he did not want this kid subjected to his germ ridden lap.

How's the kid going to "Sit" on his lap? I'm assuming this child is fairly limp and needs to be totally supported? Santa may not know how to do that?
