Tiffiney Zinger said it was painful telling her daughter she couldn't use a family vacation photo for her second grade class project – the image was marred by what appeared to be a symbol of hate.

The photo shows the 6-year-old girl, who is biracial and has autism, posing with an actor dressed as the movie character Gru from "Despicable Me" during a Universal Orlando breakfast event attended by the Zinger family in March. The character formed an upside-down "OK" symbol with his fingers, recognized by some as a hate symbol, on the girl's shoulder, according to a photo and video reviewed by USA TODAY.
A Universal Orlando Resort spokesman said Tuesday in response to USA TODAY inquiries about the episode that the actor had been fired.

The spokesman, Tom Schroder, initially declined to further comment but then issued a statement:
“We never want our guests to experience what this family did. This is not acceptable and we are sorry – and we are taking steps to make sure nothing like this happens again. We can’t discuss specifics about this incident, but we can confirm that the actor no longer works here. We remain in contact with the family and will work with them privately to make this right."

What about their self-hating heathen child in the bottom right of the picture? Surely they are outraged at him as well?

Ms Tiffany should be beaten, tarred, and feathered and not allowed out in public any more for being so fcking stupid.

Well, in fairness...two of those three are avowed racists.

Has she taken her parents to court over this abomination of a name and spelling?

Has no one noticed the banana GRU is holding in his left hand?

Maybe he was just fixing to flick a booger off her shirt?

I keep hoping 4chan pushes to make the rainbow flag a nazi symbol.
That would be worth weeks of lulz alone.

Normally I roll my eyes and scoff at things like this, but what reason does the guy have for making an ok hand sign on her shoulder? Seems odd.

It's obviously racism and fueled by hate.

That is a UK basketball symbol, I guess folks that hate it are Duke or UNC fans?

Just for once, I want the company spokesman to say "It means OK. There is no maliciousness intended or implied. The Butt-hurt of the month club should stop trying to change the meaning of childhood symbols. Tiffnaynay and her family can return when the matriarch grows up a little."

And I'm certain these are exemplary parents as well considering they are allowing their 6 year old to wear a shirt that says "Bad choices make good stories." What a terrific life lesson to teach your child.
