Any one impressed with an unusual splash of yellow and red leaves in the trees.
Usually we go from green to dead in a day.
I am driving along US 90 between Morgan City and Houma and it looks like New Hampshire.
I know I am leafer, Family Guy reference.

I feel like its a little bit more vibrant in Alabama this year as well.
I thought that I was just noticing it more because I drove around and through the mountains in Colorado when the Aspens were changing in late September, and I also was on the Blue Ridge Pkwy a couple of weeks ago when those leaves were in their final stages of coloration. Those were absolutely stunning sites.

Was it due to the early hard freeze a couple of weeks ago?

Yes and the lack of strong winds since.

Actually noticed this in Houston as well. A lot of trees with bright yellow and orange leaves this year

Tarps, I love a good fall color change of season, which one doesn't see much of in South Louisiana.... I've been in Central and Northern Virginia the last 2 weeks and the first week the colors were stunning....I had almost forgotten how beautiful it was. Flying back tomorrow, but it was a treat.

Yes. My flame maples look particularly nice this year. A solid red to crimson. The sweetgums may turn gold.

We are having fall in Houston this year! It's so rare that I've taken pictures and lots of others have been posting the pretty colors on FB and IG.

There's a huge tree, I don't know what kind, across the highway from my office window that I stare at every day. It is a beautiful golden orange right now. A week or so ago it was still mostly green. Really is nice to stare at outside my window all day.

The early cold blasts we got this year have helped majorly

I guess if you call a week with fall weather a fall. What part of Cypress are you in?

The only trees that are hard to get that nice fall color are some oak trees and magnolias.
Of course pine trees don’t change, but they can certainly drop some pine needles.

It's more than normal. We usually get 2 days!
Jones Rd. Old Cypress. My kids went to Cy Creek.
