Make fun of the ridgeline all yall want but the tailgate on it is better than any other truck. And that is fact not opinion
Not a truck. Pretty sure it’s a crossover.

So it can fold down too?
I didn't realize that.
I 100% support it if it does both
Yeah it can do both. Or at least the last generation did.

Currently in a F150, previous two trucks were Ram, drove a Sierra in HS. When I'm done with this one I'll buy whichever brand I like the best at the time.

Loading is ever an issue in trucks, unloading is where that swing away would kick arse.
But side swing gates on suvs make loading with fork lifts possible. Which is awesome.

That single cable on the Ridgeline’s tailgate can’t support the weight of all my Yeti coolers.

That when you swing it open and put your yetis in the bed. The gate never has to support the weight

How much does your "yeti cooler" weigh? Is she really worried about sitting on the tailgate?

These tailgate "innovations" are getting ridiculous. It's a tailgate, leave it the frick alone.
Attitudes like that are why GMC trucks fell so far behind in the first place.

That tailgate is stupid as frick.
Posted on 3/2/18 at 10:11 am to weagle99
nah...most ford guys are laughing at yet another attempt for GM to copycat their design, but "it's better because it's carbon fiber"
thousands of aluminum bodied fed ex truck drivers are laughing too.
also dodge and tundra owners are also laughing at that baby tailgate.

Rolls Royce laughs at these tailgate 'innovations' and one ups everybody with ridiculous electric seats to gaze upon the poor peasants below them.
Rolls Royce Tailgate pop out seats

As an F150 driver....
I am jealous of
1. Carbon Fiber bed and tailgate - Have they discussed out expensive that is? If its crazy more expensive than I am out on it, but if it is comparable in pricing that dominates
I am not jealous of
1. That ridiculous tailgate hinge halfway up the tailgate on the denali, thats stupid, looks awful.
2. Toyota Trucks - They used to be WAY better when you could get them 5K+ cheaper than their domestic equivalents, but now they are just as expensive if not more. They really don't have the reliability advantage in the trucks that hold in the camry, four-runner, and land cruiser. Are they still great? yes, but now its just about being a fanboy, not actually getting more for you money.
Reason why I will continue to buy ford for the foreseeable future.
1. Still the best selling truck in the world. Which means its cheaper to get second hand parts for do it yourself fixes.
2. They have done a much better job than many of the other car companies of integrating the technology in ways that still allow owners to do the work themselves instead of having to take it into the dealership for fixes.

i drove everything before I bought my Platinum. Drove a Denali for a week and it was nice, but the infotainment system is laggy and the seats suck. 6.2L V8 was awesome though.
Like you said, Tundras were nice when they were priced right. Too expensive now
truck is getting detailed in the parking lot at work as i type this, perfect timing for me to dip out at noon today.
