F. King's house up for sale - Is he on the way out?

They make excuses in the story but I hear rumors his time is limited.

Ernie Ballard, a spokesman for LSU, said the decision stems in part from the fact that Alexander's three children are grown. Ballard said the school's Fierce for the Future fundraising drive was another reason for the move, which he said will make it easier for the president to host fundraising events closer to campus.
The president's home carries an asking price of $980,000. It has five bedrooms, five baths, 4,629 square feet and was built in 2013. Alexander's future with the school has been the subject of speculation in recent months, in part because of LSU's controversial new admission rules.

LSU needs someone that can raise private funding. Alexander pissed off most of the alumni networks and didn’t manage the reduction in state funding well. LSU lost a lot of ground during his tenure.
LSU would also benefit from a governor that could find Baton Rouge on a map and actually cares about the school and the region.
ETA: For King’s replacement, I’ve heard two different names from two different people.
Both are good would help reunite the alumni base to the mother ship.
