Just like one cold winter doesn't provide proof that climate change is a myth, a few hot days doesn't provide evidence it does. There's so much other empirical evidence showing climate change is real, a random small sample isn't going to change anyone's mind.

I generally agree, but this heatwave shows why we must do something drastic NOW through legislation. Will those regulations be draconian? Yes, but climate change is likewise draconian.

Of course I know it gets hot in July - but not like this.
I live in the DFW area.

Yesterday set a new record high. The previous record was 93 years ago.

So, are you saying climate change literally started yesterday?

If not, how do you explain 93 years of temps that weren't higher than the one in 1925 on this same day?

You live in an Urban Heat Island, probably not the best thing if you're worried about this sort of thing.

But it doesn't show anything is my point. Look, I'm fully on board with the idea of Climate change and it being man-made. However, a random week of hot weather doesn't prove anything and if we accept that it does then we also have to accept that 2 snow storms in BR in a week and the coldest winter in years proves the earth isn't warming.

Weather =/= climate The climate of earth has been changing for millions of years. Only the hubris of man would believe that we in the past 150 have made a drastic impact on the temperature of earth.
