This is completely made up out of thin air

Hunting and fishing aren't anything new either so you could say that's a huge waste of time

Sorry, but I don’t have all day to sit around and play tic tac toe....I have actual stuff to do.

Give me a fricking break. With the exception of the weekends, we are only open at night. That means people can "do actual stuff" and THEN *gasp* grab a beer and unwind afterwards.

Get off your high horse, you twat.

Lots of cringe on both sides in this thread

I'm more on OP's side. I'd rather hit some waves with 50 macrobrews then be holed up in some try-hard hotspot for d-bags.

You can go hunting and fishing in the morning and be at the bar for noon.

Why is this a hard concept to grasp. It’s effectively a bar. I prefer going to breweries over a bar because I like to do flights and try a bunch of stuff.

And, at least around here, the breweries tend to have better and bigger outdoor spaces than the bars do.

As I get older I much prefer day drinking. I have zero desire to hang out at a loud bar till 1 am. Much prefer some Sunday afternoon beers in a nice beer garden on a beautiful day. Maybe a local band playing and a good food truck. It’s great.

Touring and drinking at a brewery are different things

Drinking at a brewery is like going to an upscale bar for beer

Cleaner environment, better games to play, usually a much better crowd than a bar.

Touring...I agree. I dont tour.

I assume you are trolling, but if not, they are fun places to sit and have a few beers. It's really not that hard to figure out.

I’m a big fan of drinking but not a big fan of beer so I don’t do the brewery thing either

If you’ve been on one brewery tour you’ve been on them all. What’s the draw or lure to go ‘hang out’ at a brewery? Are these things for people that just don’t have anything to do? Doesn’t make sense...esp a grown man burning a whole Sat or Sun ‘hanging out’.

I know lots of people that go to breweries to hang out, and they almost never take tours.

Its just a fine time with friends. There are a ton near me, and generally what you do is walk or bike or uber from brewery to brewery. Checking out the beer, listening to music, playing yard games, eating, etc. I am not a giant beer fan but its fun to do every few months.

edit: You probably dont live in Htown based on comments

Most are family friendly too, which will attract people with kids who want a beer or two.

Yes, they are. Although I will say don't get mad at me if I cuss at a brewery in front of your kids. I don't mean to cuss in front of children but if I have a few beers, I am prolly dropping the F bomb, at least occasionally.
