How did I miss this thread? Unfortunately some of the douchy responses sucked the fun out of it.

People feel Like they aren't really drunks if they are at a brewery for some reason. Like it's artistic or something. No difference between that and the bum behind the liquor store drinking out of a paper bag.

You hang out at a brewery to drink beer and play giant jenga. Or giant connect four. Or giant checkers.

Avondale Brewery in Birmingham has a big outdoor stage and draws some really solid musicians for shows.

These microbreweries every city has now are basically giant bars.

If you like beer, you get fresh beer with more options then you would elsewhere. It's similar to going to a winery. If you don't particularly like beer then sure

I'm a regular at Bayou Teche. A lot of folks I know drink there. Fun band on Saturdays, usually some really good food, and a mobile cigar lounge is parked there as well. Nice place to take a study break or stop at on my way home from fishing. My dog loves it there as well since there are plenty of women to hump

I went to the Founder's brewery in Grand Rapids, MI and didn't take the tour. Hung out in the taproom and got college-level drunk off barrel aged beers while watching hockey. One of the better nights I've had this year.

I work in a brewery, and we are almost always packed. We have board games, trivia nights, live music, etc...basically some sort of event or draw every night. Also, we have Nintendo projected onto the wall so you can lose Super Mario on the big screen. It's fun.

We are one of only a few breweries in this part of the Greater Boston area, so it very much has a neighborhood feel to it. When the weather gets bad, we get slammed because people want a spot they can walk to. We have a great clientele.

Not all breweries are created equally. I found a good one.

I’d say 1.

Part of the downfall of the younger generation. Men would prefer to ride their electric scooter to sit around playing jenga and Mario ‘on the big screen’ as opposed to hunting, fishing, or actually learning something new.

Sorry, but I don’t have all day to sit around and play tic tac toe....I have actual stuff to do.

I do all of the above, I like to go have a beer at the brewery on my way home.

We have several breweries in Huntsville. I haven't been to all of them, but the ones the wife and I sometimes go to are just bars/restaurants and they have pretty good food and good beer.
