Do you force people to send their kids to those schools?
The people will return when the schools improve, which, for many, isn’t likely.
No one wants to send their children to failing schools if they have the choice.
And that is the rub. The only way to fix it is to remove the choice.

Scruffy, I want to live close to work while we are in BR. Fallguy is 40 and only has one child. Fallguy can afford to send his child to private school and just deal with the tuition. Fallguy doesn't love the amount that's debited from his checking account monthly but Mrs Fall works too and insists on it. It's cheaper to keep her so fallguy just shuts the frick up and deals with it.
Little fallgirl plays multiple sports and is already in the Duke TIP program so fallguy is torn. If she continues sports I will likely let her finish out at Episcopal or St Joseph's and she will hopefully still pay my nursing home bills.
If fallgirl wants to go to BR Magnet I will happily apply and if she's accepted I will dance in the street.

I’m guessing the OP left after he realized his position on suburban public schools was exactly the same as his quip against private schools.

I’m leaving with the same opinion. Probably even worse than I thought. I still know north shore is north shore and that’s it. I also know most of y’all are dicks and can’t have a normal convo without it turning ugly because most of y’all are miserable assholes and that’s okay. I’ll be fine. I came to this hell hole for LSU and will leave very soon just like many many others. Goodnight haha

OK seems like a decent guy to me. My wife was taken aback when I told her that if she wanted to live 5 minutes from work that it would cost her 10k in tuition. She said ok that's doable unfortunately

My parents did the same thing with me that it seems you and your wife are doing with your kid.
And in the grand scheme of things, the money you spend on Episcopal will be nothing compared to what you spend on college, unless she goes to LSU. Kids are expensive

Everyone else was surprisingly very calm and went so far as to answer your questions with facts even though you berated and insulted these same people every chance you could.
