Because if you live in Orleans parish or EBR parish and send your kids to public schools, don’t expect any results. There’s a reason Ascension, Zachary, St Tammany, etc... are some of the fastest growing areas in the state: good public schools.

I moved here from New Hampshire at age 11. I went to one of the best public schools out here, and it wasn't even close.

Yep. Until about 5-10 years ago some of the private schools still would not allow blacks

If you love your kids, value education, and do not want them to get shanked, then private school is your best/only option.
