The allure of Buc-ee’s has worn off for me

The brisket sandwich, while on the road, is a win.

We always enjoy stopping by when we are on road trips, the ole lady and kids get a kick out of it.

I’ll never fully understand seeing the parking lot and those crowds during a road trip and thinking “I want to stop there.”

Some people like going to Disney theme parks too, so to each his own I guess.

The bathrooms are great at Buccee’s.

Five star hotels send their housekeeping personnel to Buccees to learn how to service a restroom.

You should try the Texan in Schulenberg.

For me, the jalapeno sausage and cheese kolache, BBQ turkey, and scones are the primary things I go for

The fried chicken sandwich isn't bad either. The brisket is meh. The coffee is reasonably priced and decent. I have gotten salads and other, cold sandwiches there and they were decent too.

There is a Buc-ees in Auburn and when i am down there I will sometimes go by to get a sandwich or salad to take home for lunch. The portions are big and it's always decent food.

Stopped at the one in Alabama on the way back from Florida recently. Big mistake. Total mass of humanity. Took 10 minutes from exit to parking lot, difficult to find open gas pump, peak Disney World level crowd inside, rude worker cutting off twice in drink line (guess she was aggravated at how crowded it was too?), and took another 10 minutes just to get out of parking lot.

I’ll give them a little slack as it was a Sunday, maybe unusually crowded due to vacationers returning home? But there were plenty of places we passed that were not crowded at all.

Guess I don’t get the hype, but to each his own.

Quick Trip in Georgia rocks. Had one near my home when I lived there. Gassed up the boat and got ice there every morning.

Now we have WaWa here in Florida. It is similar but I give the nod to Quick Trip over them for Donuts and coffee

Buccees should have never opened locations outside of Texas. It was exclusively a Texas thing for years.

I think the same of rouses and Louisiana

It's a must stop for my wife who likes to browse the merchandise but I refuse to stop on a weekend. The crowds are ridiculous.

Have always liked the pulled pork sandwiches better than the slice brisket. The brisket can be fatty at times. Found the burritos about a year ago. Really good but not sure all stores carry them.

The bathrooms. Cleaner than most folks' houses. Plus a fortress of solitude to take a dump in.
