Ahh, the ol I think David Dukes bad because the media tells me he’s bad diatribe. The media made him a bogeyman long ago, way before they trained their sights on Trump.

I don’t care that the late Harvey Updyke never actually attended UA; he still deserves honorable mention here.

David duke wins this title without a doubt..

All these people talking like they hate David Duke. Sure did get a lot of votes. There were 670,009 people in Louisiana that wanted him for governor. I will freely admit, if I had lived in the state, I would have voted for him over Edwards.

1991 Louisiana gubernatorial election jungle primary

Party - Candidate - Votes - %
Democratic:Edwin Edwards - 523,096 - 33.76
Republican: David Duke - 491,342 - 31.71
Republican: Buddy Roemer (incumbent) - 410,690 - 26.51

1991 Louisiana gubernatorial election runoff

Party - Candidate - Votes - %
Democratic: Edwin Edwards - 1,057,031 - 61.17%
Republican - David Duke - 671,009 - 38.83%

I think you’re getting Ryan Clark and Don Lemon confused with one another.

Gore didn’t carry TN but he definitely did carry Carthage.

Did David Duke advocate for segregation, white nationalism, that Jews were intentionally trying to poison European gene stock, and/or that we should subsidize abortion for racial minorities?

A yes or no on each would be great

Guess where that is?

I did live in the state. In college at LSU.

That election was tipping point for decision to leave Louisiana and not look back. If could have afforded another continent (or planet), would have.

I love a lot about Louisiana. Its people are among my favorite parts. Until politics and race discussions enter the gumbo pot.

Because Edwards won, or because Duke got substantial votes?

A Grand Wizard of KKK speaks fine for itself.

The media tells us…as if that automatically cancels it, aye? Like the ol I think Adolph Hitler is bad because the media tells me he’s bad diatribe.

Suppose ole David and Adolph were just misunderstood.
