I saw a child get hit by a car. I still remember his face right before the car hit him. Worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

Does playing chicken with a train count? If so then I've seen 3 tragic deaths because of unawareness by the drivers of their vehicles.

Saw something similar to what you did involving a motorcycle not stopping at a 4 way. Fricked me up for a while. Didn't have to witness a wife screaming but still lost a lot of sleep over it.

Saw another one a few years ago that fricked me up pretty good but had a happy ending. Was heading out to hunt at about 330 am. A car ran a stop sign and tboned a 4 running. Folded it pretty good. Ran to the driver and he was hollering that his son was in the back. I ran around and knew I was about to see a dead kid. Pulled the door open and the kid was in his car seat looking at me like "wtf is this dude doing". I cried a good bit after that one. Driver who hit them was piss drunk.

Was driving from Wuhan to Yichang China when our driver swerved to miss a body lying in the road. Never looked back. Thank goodness he didn’t run over it.

I drank my dinner that night.

Back in the 00’s I saw the accident at the intersection of Sherwood and Newcastle that killed the bike cop. I was with someone married to another bike cop who ran to assist, but she said blood was coming out of every hole in his head, so she had to walk away knowing zero could be done. The cops walked the lady that pulled out in front of him (apparently drunk at 10a) and made her look at his body for what felt like 5 minutes.

I also recently saw a motorcycle accident on 285 in Atlanta where people were trying to console the motorcyclist until emergency services arrived, but his lower half was spread about 50 feet across the road like a slug. There is zero chance that person survived.

As a kid I was at a hot air balloon festival when I saw a balloon deflate in mid-air. I’m not quite sure how high he was, but it was long enough to just helplessly watch the free fall for what felt like 20 seconds. The pilot died.

It was in Baton Rouge, so I’m sure others on here saw it as well

We were coming back from north Alabama on US 431, a two-lane rural highway at the time. There was a dangerous curve in the road and, as we approached it, we could see that a car did not make the curve and had crashed into a big tree. We stopped and went to see if they were alright. No one was moving, no one was blinking, no one was breathing. They were all in their early 20s or younger. Blood was coming out of their eyes, ears, and nose. My dad told me to get back in the car as he tried to get a response from any of them. Another car stopped, so my dad said we would drive to the nearest house and get them to call for an ambulance. We drove a couple miles down the road to a house with a lot of cars out front. My dad asked them to call an ambulance and they started asking where the wreck was, what kind of car was it, what color was the car, how many people were in it, how old were they...with each answer you could see their concern increase. The people in the wreck were their family members.

was hanging out with some friends on a deck earlier, just enjoying the weather. The house sits on a corner of a 4 way intersection, where it’s a 2 way stop. A truck stopped at the intersection and pulled out, but was violently t-boned on the drivers side. The driver of the truck was ejected and somehow the truck rolled over him. It was less than 100 feet away from us, and by the time we got there he was already having death rattles. One of the friends is a nurse and tried to keep him alive but by the time Lifeflight landed he was already gone.

I saw pretty much the same thing happen back when I was a teenager. The vehicle hit was a brand new 1986 Mustang convertible driven by a teenage girl and the one that hit her was an old pickup truck driven by an old man who was drunk. He blew through a red light at about 70 MPH and impacted right on her driver’s door. Killed both of them.

When it happened, we ran to the truck first. It was closest to us. I remember the old man was laying in the floorboard of the truck and the steering column was bent almost verticals where he’d hit it. His bottle of whiskey was spilling out in the cab. It was obvious he was dead so we ran over to the Mustang. The girl was laid over across the console halfway in the passenger seat. She was pinned in by the drivers door that was basically golden in over her lower torso. Her eyes were open and sort of looking around. Other than that she wasn’t moving or making any sounds. There was nothing we could do. I think she only last maybe a few minutes.

The girl was a few days away from starting her senior year of high school.

What happened? (If you can speak about it) Did he hit something or lose control and flip it?

This thread is amazing to me that so many have seen so much horrific shite. Thankfully I’ve never witnessed anything like this stuff in person. But some of this shite is prettt crazy that y’all have seen. I imagine that kind of stuff stays with you for a while (if not forever).

I saw a kid (about 8 years old) get hit by a car. I had just turned 3 y/o. He was hit by the car immediately ahead of us. My mom screamed knowing it was going to happen. Blood was everywhere. Kid was DOA. This event is imprinted in my memory.

saw an expedition blow a tire on I-10 eastbound around gramercy and flip about 3 times throwing bodies and dust.

Witnessed nearly the identical thing between pearl river and Slidell. Lifted excursion blew out the front driver side tire and barrel rolled several times throwing bodies, luggage, and car parts everywhere.

A bunch of us stopped but nothing could be done. It was a family and the dad was driving. His wife and 3 kids all died and he was mostly uninjured.

I've seen several dead bodies, but didn't witness them being killed.

The worst was a kid that had been hit by a car.
He was laying dead in the street.

It has stuck we me all these years because at the time he was the same age as me.

Saw a dead body in the middle of the E11 in Dubai last year. Indian guy who had committed suicide by jumping from the overpass onto the freeway. Apparently it is a regular occurrence there.
