Funny you should say that because that's what I was thinking after op. I don't think HR likes to be contacted unless some serious fricking shite went down. They're probably collecting apples on him now til they have a case

My favorite employment story:
Insurance company hires temporary employees at $15 per hour to stuff envelopes. End of the day, they realize that the items in the mail were misprinted so they would have to have the temps come back to unstuff the envelopes (at $15 per hour).
In response to the announcement, black woman stands up and loudly says "I'll tell you what ... you hired to stuff them mother frickahs ... not unstuff em." She walks out.
Another employer fired this big fat white woman, who walked through the plant shouting "One call, that's all" (the Morris Bart slogan). Employer called me asking "Why would she say that?" I explained, and noted that I don't think Bart's office takes employment cases.

Crappy employees have a way of building a reputation of being a crappy employee. Take care of your business and let his reputaion take care of him. I’d be willing to wager others have the same opinion as you.

Yes, he is building himself a poor rep. I'm not the only one who has gotten the racist thing from him. And my boss knows about that as well. Another engineer won't let him work in his area cause he knows he is incompetant. Etc.

I work in HR. I deal with idiotic cases all day.

Payday mishap. One of my employees checks didn't show up.
Was told it would be a 4 hour wait. I offered him to continue to work OT,for 4 hours while he waited, or I could drive his check to him when I left, or he could come back and get it.
Dude wasn't having any of it, starts threatening me, names, all the good stuff.
I kindly told him that 'bitching and moaning like a little baby wasn't going to speed anything up' HR was called, I had to do a sensitivity training course and employee mediating course.
frick that kid.

yes, when women were fraudently filing sexual harassment charges against co-workers for quick settlements in the 90's, this idiot broad tried to claim i said something and brushed up on her.
Her fallacy, she was 2 stupid to realize i was off the day in question. She just blindly tried to make an accusation 2 days after the said day it happened, even in a report, then when she was found to be a liar, she tried to cange day and date, and they moved her to department where she wouldn't have to do a thing.
I never talked to women at chrysler, i knew to watch out, they were all looking for quick settlements from company and getting out of there.
Watched 2 older guys get accused, neither said a thing, luckily the whole department, especially the women, stuck up for him and demanded his suspension to stop and he get paid, or whole department would walk. Company caved and brought him back with pay.
back then companies were scaredto death of the accusations, and would fire immediatelt and give a quick payoff to females with little to no evidence.
It was scarey, when i wasn't told what was going on, and i'm being escorted off the property with security and shop steward tellin me i'm suspended with termination papers being drawn up.

Oh, and just so ya know how bad this guy sucks. He was hired as an electronic test technician and didn't know how to use a multimeter. Tried taking voltages his first day without the power on. Then tried to blame me for not telling him the power needed to be on to take voltage readings.

Better than even money he either brought up in the interview, or the resume, that one of the things to brings to a workplace as an employee was diversity.

That is a bitch move. Never had HR called on me, but had them called on the department I was in. We were in building that had multiple companies in it and we were next door to one of those companies.. And my department was a bunch of dudes.. People use to talk loud, cuss a lot and says lots of "inappropriate" shite so the company called our HR department complaining about the language and the noise that was coming from out department.
Everyone watched what they said and talked at a reasonable level... For about a week. The other company ended up breaking their lease and moved somewhere else.

There are two types of HR employees: Those who believe they are the representatives of the downtrodden employees who need help, and those who actually consider themselves part of management and do their best to help management.
Actually, add a third. The one that’s exactly where they should be, which is somewhere in the middle of that...on a sliding scale based on the situation. HR has a duty to make sure that employees are being treated properly by other employees and management. Sometimes, management needs to be saved from themselves...
That said, they also need to call bullshite when bullshite needs to be called and have the companies best interest in mind. It’s a tightrope.

If they side with you, you are just two steps away from being able to spit at him.

If the guy has reported you to HR twice already and no one else has a problem with you, then HR will quickly figure out the person reporting you is actually the problem.
Posted on 3/13/18 at 8:09 pm to OweO
He's only reported me once. But he has had issues with several people. Including me in the past over silly shite. He even accused me of taking a picture of him... Not just once, but twice. Dude is paranoid, thinks everyone is racist, etc.

Worked for the largest Hospital in La about 15 years ago. Had HR call me wanting to talk about a “lynching of a stuffed bear” in a coworkers office. They said I was a person of interest but was not accusing me. Come to find out it was one of her close friends who put a piece of yarn around the bears neck with a note that said to call her (that part she left out). Anyway, Katrina hit and she was not called back. Needless to say I was pissed!!!
