Wonder why they tell them not to run the AC?. Home ACs are closed loop systems so they don't bring any air in from the outside. Just recirculate the interior air.
That's the theory. In reality homes have lots of air leaks, and running the a/c creates pressure differentials that can suck in air from the outside.

I did jokingly say I would take a year of free washes (the monthly subscription cost for unlimited washes is $40 an month) and to my surprise he agreed.
Why? He got off cheap. Costs him practically nothing.

I don't think those Chlorine tablets have the same concentration as what DOW has though
Well, no, but I can guarantee you that at the time it sure wasn't pleasant.

I could see the smoke from the prairieville exit overpass on the interstate.

Heading over to a friend's house (that was off work today) that deals with environmental for DOW here in a bit.

Good lord.

Chlorine is bad bad bad shite.

When you see a giant green fog rolling to you it's hard not to shite your pants.

Having to suit up and work in one is surreal.

And just a drop of that shite will damn near kill you. Several times I got hit and you don't breathe right for days.

You taste chlorine in your breath when you get chlorinated. Best thing to do is to down a hot soda and burp it out your lungs

There are just different types of bad. Chlorine killes in one breathe. Hydrocarbons go boom.

Dow has hydrocarbon units so they it's got just about everything union has. Sucks iether way

Said safety came running through the unit yelling for everyone to get out now. Turned off the turnstiles so everyone could bail quickly. Guys running over each other to leave. Stuck in a massive cluster now trying to get out of the parking lot.

I was in this cluster at about 3 trying to get out of Poly B. 1000 people trying to exit 1 gate in emergency onto river road. Took 30 minutes. Sure everyone has heard power unit went down first and caused everything. I seen flares burning there arse off started at about 1:45 they didn't run us out til 3

I worked there for 5 years. I'm wondering what poor bastard contractor will be responsible for this.

I was trying to get this heavy duty epoxy off of some concrete a few years ago, so I got some muriatic acid from my uncle's buddy. He's one of those guys that has shite that you're not supposed to have, so he just handed me some brown jugs with liquid. Did not know it was like 50% or whatever, and I needed to dilute it, so I just poured it into a pump sprayer and started spraying it on the concrete.

After about a minute, I noticed liquid dripping on my boots. Turns out, the fricking acid was eating through the damn nozzle and hose on the pump sprayer, so I put it on the ground. It all poured out and made the concrete smoke yellow. I tried to spread the leftovers around with a broom. Didn't work too well because I had to keep dancing around the yellow smoke emanating from the concrete. It was pretty funny seeing all of the concrete yellow, but not so funny about everything dissolving and all of the smoke.

After all of that, my eyes burned like hell for a few days, and I was constantly coughing for 2-3 weeks after that. Plus, I still had to do the concrete.

I have a buddy who was a safety guy at DOW, and I asked him wtf I did wrong. Instead of laughing at me (like I would), he got angry and chewed me out.

I'll read the label next time
