never realized how much stuff they had, especially all the old kids toys
Nobody has 9 sets of dinner ware and 45 ashtrays.

Brig. Gen Wilbur Fields Joffrion
He passed in 2016 at 91. I speculate that graduated West Point at the end off WWII. The occupied road maps has him as a Lt. (Very cool)
Bayonets are not my specialty, but a quick research looks like a 1907 Wilkinson for the Lee Enfield.
They seem highly priced on ebay and collecting dust. I doubt that they sell fast at those prices... But make a good deal and some old boy would be proud to have it for his rifle.
Edit- Wilbur. Ironically has significance to a project here. A good omen.

Nothing in those photos look too exciting. I look for hidden treasures, things they missed. The stuff they have in the photos are usually the stuff they know about.
For example, the mahjong set I got yesterday. It wasn’t priced, they missed it. I knew it’s worth $200+. Same thing with the entrenching tool. They priced it, but didn’t know what it was. They were thinking it’s just a shovel, not a military issued item from the end of WW2. They marked it $6, it’s worth $75-$100

Yeah man. Totally like a thief to steal some war memorabilia and then list it in an estate sale with the spidey toilet paper.
Moron.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the martini gigger. It looks like a scope you'd put on a rifle. The giggers I'm familiar with, are much fatter top and bottom. The black object looks like a temple of an eyeglass.

Martini Gigger for sale yet? interested.

I’m also really interested in the jigger. Any markings on the inside or outside to indicate measurements? Is it metric? That thing is awesome.

The jigger has already sold

Well, damn… I would have given you a hundred bucks for that thing. Cocktails are kinda my thing. Couldn’t find anything comparable on eBay.

A couple of weeks ago while pulling thru a Circle K I run over what I thought, didn't see it until I pulled to a pump, a 2 x 4. So I walk over to pick it up and trash it and notice this isn't a piece of wood, it's a fricking level just like the one you bought above. But it's a Stanley level marked NO.O. Looked it up and seems to be a either a late 1800s or early 1900's date.

How often do you run across baseball cards in you estate/garage sale ventures

Very rarely, and when I do, they asking Beckett prices. I did find 20 graded cards for 25¢ each last year, all graded 8.5-10. The GM10 was a 83 Donrus Nolan Ryan. I sold it for $200. It was the greatest find (percentage wise) I’d ever found, at 800:1.

The last photos are from another sale. Anything that was priced was so over priced, it was comical.
Went to his sale this morning. Almost everyone there was talking about his prices. Spent $13 on a 1930 Wagnerware/Magnalite tea kettle, 1981 Cracked Magazine, Far Side Book and an old auto power cord.
What I didn't buy: A $1000 porcelain drip pot without a lid and a $80 homemade Monkey table.
The real highlight of the morning was the crazy street preacher dude with a pair of tighty whites on his face.
