Did any of y’all claim time spent?
I did.
Claimed the initial $125.
Then claimed 10 hours on the other. 5 hours making sure my credit was correct. 3 researching all issue. 2 changing passwords.
Did all the same for my wife.
Looking at what on paper should be $375 each so $750.
ALso took the prepaid card not check.

Same. I actually had fraudulent stuff take place back in October, so I uploaded all of my letters proving my credit freezes and 3 days worth of emails trying to get my money back, PayPal canceled, etc.
This may have already been said in the thread, but the fine print states that if you apply for this credit (AND ALSO IF YOU DO NOTHING), you are waiving your ability to sue Equifax in the future if you ever do have your identity stolen and lose lots of money. If you want to be exempt from the settlement, you have to snail mail a request for it.

Awwwww man. I wanted a free $125 but my data wasn’t affected. Shucks

Quick question, I was affected and put a freeze at the 3 bureaus. Should've I also gotten a credit monitoring service? I mean, my credit is frozen so seems like I should be safe. Also I did spend like $30 and quite a bit of time getting that all done...seems like exactly 10hrs tbh.

According to the FTC if you take the monitoring you also get $1 million of identity theft insurance.

Equifax told me I was part of the breach, but I've monitored ever since and nothing has happened to me. Still claimed the $125
Same

Thanks for the link! I made my claim!

My data was affected and I qualify. Should I hold off to see if any ID theft comes up in the next few months before I let Equifax off the hook for $125?

You can also activate identify theft resolution coverage if you find that your shite was stolen. I believe this is available whether you take the cash, monitoring or neither

No. The breach was a couple years ago.

Where do you go to edit your claim? I can’t find it other than to just redo my claim completely but I’m not sure I should submit duplicate claims
I saw where you can submit docs but I just want to claim my 9 hours or whatever and not mess with docs
ETA: shite I misread your comment, my bad

Just wait until someone creates equifaxbreachsettIement.com and scams even more people prompting them to enter personal information
Actually looks like equifax went ahead and purchased this domain yesterday in the situation someone were to try to switch out the l for an i. It redirects to the correct one.
