There is a future deadline to accept this. Ill wait it out to see if it gets approved and what the fine print really does.

Does that not count? I assumed that counted.

I appreciate the information, I filed and stated that I had credit monitoring, which I do thru USAA bank

Make sure to file a claim for your spouse as well since their info was most likely breached as well. Make sure to claim the hours that were spent after the breach for resetting passwords and claims up to 10 hours don't require documentation.

$125 is chump change. It'll pay for ONE year of the identity theft monitoring I have to pay for because of those assholes.
The executives should be hung, the company dissolved and liquidated, and the proceeds distributed equally amongst the affected.
It's time to make an example out of one of these fricking companies.
ETA: Plus, public hangings just sound like wholesome family fun.

Did any of y’all claim time spent?
Posted on 7/25/19 at 12:49 pm to The Boat
I wish I had. I read it but wasn’t really paying attention. I would have definitely claimed 5-6 hours each

Thanks for sharing, both my wife and I were impacted, and filed.

How was all of our data stolen if we don’t personally deal with Equifax. Do our banks or credit cards partner with Equifax?

I did for my wife and I.

Most banks/credit card companies use(d) a combination of Experian, TransUnion, and/or Equifax for credit reports.

I was part of the breach. According to Equifax I’m dead. Found that out when I went to buy a truck in December.

My wife and I were both "impacted".
One cavet is you have to have current monitoring to deny it and get the cash claim.

Credit karma baw, but they aren't going to check if you have credit monitoring or not. Just take the cash.

Same here. Going to have a little extra model money coming to me at some point in the future.

Well someone bought medical marijuana on me in September. No idea if that was stolen identity

I should be getting some back. $125 payment, plus initial freeze of all three credit bureaus at $10 a pop and then many more (10 or so) unfreeze/refreeze for vehicle loans and credit card applications at $10 a pop, plus time spent dealing with it (estimated 10 hours). I sent all supporting documentation for freeze confirmations from the credit bureaus and bank statements proving payments for freezing. I'm thinking around $500.
