So no one gave a shite about the location from hundreds of years ago until 2018?

The US Constitution and subsequent amendments only apply to the federal and state governments. I’m not sure how this lawsuit holds up unless the plaintiffs have some creative argument that Formosa is a state actor.
The 13th amendment definitely doesn’t only prevent slavery by the government. It is the only civil rights amendment that expressly applies to private citizens.
ETA: this case doesn’t meet any semblance of a 13A violation. But still applies to private individuals/companies

After the English Civil War, once the Monarchy was restored, they exhumed the bodies of dead Commonwealth leaders (including Cromwell) and put them on trial.
They were found guilty and sentenced to death.
And the sentences were carried out.
Let’s exhume the slaves’ bodies and question them in court as to their alleged mistreatment at the behest of Formosa.

I’m all for that.
And if any of them pipe up with a legitimate beef, I think they should be heard.

When we found several years ago they had to be exhumed and relocated to a special site we had to build for them. There are ways around stoppage.

Let me boil this down for everyone:
"We will continue to raise hell and cause you (the company) problems right up until you write us a fat check."

Shake down specials. Hope Formosa tells them to get fricked inasmuch as this is just a money grab.

The unmarked graves issue seems to come up more and more these days. I wouldn't be surprised if the plaintiffs are granted some sort of permanent access and allowed to mark the grave sites as they see fit.
Unmarked graves? How do they know who is in them? And why are they unmarked? If the activists gave a shite, the graves wouldn't be unmarked. I wish Formosa would dig up the graves and dump the dirt and whatever may be left in the parking lot of the activists HQ. Give the dead back to the ones who seem so upset about the issue.

No one could find the grave site when they tried to get an injunction several years ago.

There are 3 grave yards in Marathon Garyville.

there are three grave yards on the Taft site of Union Carbide/Dow that the company bought the surrounding property of in 1965. 2 are pretty well known, the third is not. Deal the company put in place, public would have simple access , but company would provide no upkeep for graves inside the designated graveyard boundary.

they began to visit the site to pray and honor their enslaved ancestors
You really want to honor them, here's a good start:
* Value education
* Get off welfare and support yourself
* Stop popping out kids like a fkn slot machine jackpot
* Stop glorifying rap music that encourages shite behavior
* Stop committing crimes at a much higher rate higher than other races

There are thousands upon thousands of native burial mounds here in Central Arkansas. The absolute dumbest thing you can do if you come across one is tell the authorities. It winds up like that king of the hill episode with a bunch of college jackasses digging up your property.
About a half mile from me there is a mound complex and there are goats living on top of a mound the size of a small house.

Dig up the remains (properly of course) and give to the descendants so that they can properly intern them (at the descendants cost of course).
Without markers how do you know if you're a descendant or not. I guess they will all need to have DNA testing done (at their expense) to determine lineage.

1. It is them again boo-boo? It’s always them, even after they are dead.
2. I own property with three graves on it. Does this mean that I have fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning slaves?
3. Of those offended people can prove that they are descendants of those buried, they should be able to pay the back rent and collect the bodies and do with them what they will.
4. We have got to stop burying people in the ground. It’s a simple fact that if you take up 12 sqft of earth for every person that dies, we will eventually run out of room to live. I’m positive that’s not the wish of those in the ground. I’d like to be burned and my ashes distributed in the nearest body of water. After enough time, I will be diluted and a million living organisms will have my cells in their bodies. Therefore, I win.

And who visits these "graveyards"?
Absolutely no one. If they do it's with an agenda, not because they have a connection.
Job I used to work in took me some odd places, and some of the most unkempt and neglected were old black cemeteries.
Cemeteries past a certain age are forgotten anyway, as those who knew or knew of the deceased are long dead, but at least the grass gets cut occasionally.
Black cemeteries, I've seen busted open graves, exposed coffins, just in complete and utter disrepair.
Kind of cool in a spooky way really.
But to pretend they really care is bupkis.
