quote:

“So there will be a storm restoration charge once we approve the expenses, and it’s just going to be at the cheapest possible rate. Our two goals are number one, reliability, and number two, affordability,” said Dr. Craig Greene, Louisiana public service commissioner.

In other words : at Entergy we let our infrastructure get so worn down, that way when a storm comes our customers can be without power for however long, and then we can charge them for the monopoly we make billions off of....

Entergy gonna frickin Entergy

Wait so a company that we are stuck with gets to “approve” a charge that we are all required to pay?

This is how they pass off shoddy maintenance to the customer. No incentive to beef up the power grid.

For every Entergy costumer in the State? I didn't get hit by a hurricane, nor did I ever lose electricity. Phuck these people

Their service is dogshit. I have for some reason been locked out of my account for months and unable to pay my billls. I call weekly trying to get this resolved and all they say is "oh someone is working on it"

No shite. How about replacing the aging wires and transformers and 100 year old poles that topple every summer?

Yea that doesn't sound quite legal. I wouldn't be shocked to see that challenged in court.

I'd say it's legal since we got popped with it after Katrina and then again after 2016 floods

They’ve don’t this before and the charges are approved by the public service commission.

I stand corrected then. I guess a better question would be then "How is this legal?"
