I've said it before, but I've contracted with damn near every electric utility from the great lakes to the gulf coast, and entergy Louisiana is by far the most run down, useless, bureaucratic, do-nothing, blame everyone else, group of government subsidized sorry sumbitches I ever came across. Not all area managers are bad, but the ones that are, are as bad as they come, and there's no accountability for them either. When something does go wrong, they'll just blame a contractor. If there's one word I have to describe them, it's "pussies," because that's what alot of them are when it comes to managing their areas and assets and the customers who use them. There was one area manager who FINALLY got fired, and if you saw the shape he let his area's lines get in and the time it took for it to get there (years), you'd come to the conclusion that it would just about have to take a murder charge for someone to be held accountable.

I'm not surprised in the least bit that it sounds like things are still a shite show down there.

Power has gone out 3 times over here at Barringer Foreman/Highland area in the last month as well. Transformers blew the first two times. No clue what caused the outage yesterday.

It came back on a few minutes after 9pm. No
Major disruption, just weirdly frequent these days when it’s never been an issue before. I don’t know other than the comments here whether it’s just some anomaly or if there is a more serious problem unfolding.

Trump should've passed the infrastructure bill

I'm like 99.9% certain that no infrastructure bill ever came out of Congress and made it to Trump's desk to sign into law. You realize Pelosi controlled the purse strings when Trump was in office right? It's not like Trump could have used an EO on infrastructure without the funding, so I have no earthly clue what you're referring to.

The Inniswold area. February 26, last week and now. During a low power usage period without heavy demand. At this point, it just seems like most things in America are unreliable or broken.

In 2020 we had a storm break a power pole in half and throw it in the street, ripping the lines down up and down the block. When they replaced it, they didn't use the right wiring I guess, because every time we had a super windy day/storm after that, the power would go out almost immediately. We finally figured out from reviewing security camera footage that every time the wind blew super hard in a certain direction, it was batting two of the lines against each other and sending up fireballs and blowing the fuse out on the transformer.

Every two weeks for the next nine months we lost power when the wind blew hard. Every time Entergy came out to fix it we showed them the video footage and asked them to fix it permanently, and they'd shrug and just replace the fuse.

So nine months into this nonsense, the wind knocks the power out again, and they send a supervisor and a trainee out to repair it. We show them the video footage and the supervisor realizes the wrong wiring was installed when the initial repair was made, and has a team come out that day to replace it. We haven't had an issue since.

But it took NINE MONTHS of losing power for 4 hours EVERY TWO WEEKS, and showing Entergy footage of wires exploding in fireballs, before someone finally stopped saying 'frick it not my job' and actually did something. And if we didn't have that video footage I don't know that they ever would have fixed it. They would have just kept coming out and replacing the fuse over and over without questioning why it was happening.

Yet Democrats do not want you to have gasoline or natural gas at a time like this.

What does this even mean? You going to power your house with a generator non-stop?

FYI, we're both the world's #1 oil producer and the #1 natural gas producer, both under a dem presidency.

The first two years of Trump's presidency was with a GOP House and GOP Senate....and they didn't pass shite.

Amazingly, Biden was able to push through a major infrastructure bill despite a GOP House.

So in your perfect revisionist history mindset, you wanted a brand new Republican president (coming off of 8 years of Obama) to force Congress to present a $1.7T infrastructure bill on his desk? In his first 2 years all but ensuring the midterms would have been a BLUE tsunami? Holy shite, some of you need to stay in the basement as you have no concept of the real world.

So why did any republicans vote for it? Couldn't have passed without GOP support.
