While the OT is scared of NOLA, looks like plenty of deputies are not.

Arthur Hardy said all outside police officers will be there only for traffic duties. They are not allowed to arrest anyone and any incidents they must call 911 to get a NOPD officer involved.

Awesome news for Thoth and really any parade that runs the magazine route.

That’s my favorite part of the parade.

Why is this all suddenly now an issue? Mardi Gras has had outside help for how long? And was able to run parades outside of like one year when there was a strike, on normal routes. What is so hard about it now? Especially since 80% of parades run the same routes rather than their traditional neighborhoods.

Is it any different than normal? Is it a jurisdictional thing?

So was it just a scare tactic by Latoya?

Or would cops just rather hang out with people having fun instead of the areas they normally patrol?

Pretty sure they offering $85-$100 an hour from what I hear. Heard in years past Zulu was offering $100 and still couldn’t get staffing lol.
