Good Grades and MCAT score will only get your application looked at. From there, an applicant better have impressive extracurricular activities such as published research, tons of volunteering and tons of shadowing. Then they need to have really impressive letters of recommendation. Finally, it is a must to demonstrate a calling to medicine and to talk about overcoming something pretty freaking substantial in your life on your personal statement. If that all looks good, you get an interview. You have about a 1 in 3 chance at that point.
Basically, getting into medical school is not something you typically decide to do your senior year of undergrad and then make it happen any time soon. It is usually something that a kid has worked on since high school, or very early in undergrad.

Why aren't you applying the same standards to Asians and people from the Indian subcontinent? They literally have the same issue, except some Asian demographics score even higher than their white counterparts.

I mean let’s be real, factoring in race into any acceptance process is blatantly racist.
But if I’m being honest med schools shouldn’t allow more than 25%ish of each class be women. Too many of them get pregnant and either stop doctoring for a few years and some of them never go back at all.

Well, for one medical school admission is not strictly based upon GPA and MCAT scores.

As a pretty good rule of thumb, it's never a guarantee that you will be accepted into medical school or any other professional program, no matter how well you meet/exceed the standards.

One of my sons is interested in medical school, but was sort of discouraged by a doctor friend of ours. Our friend said don’t give up, but don’t be disappointed if you don’t get into medical school.

In the documentary "What is a Woman" he talked about the woke ideology etc... in colleges today and has since commented that 90% of college professors either believe in all that shite or will not stand up to it.

Especially in the medical field where it’s important that mistakes aren’t made when practicing medicine. People want the best physician to attend to their needs. Not someone who was admitted to a program based on race as opposed to merit.

Do you realize that residency programs are doing the same thing as medical schools? They are selecting the minority applicants even if they have lower scores.
And hospital systems are favoring minorities too. Everyone is trying to out diversify everyone else.
