So the Amtrak guys tested positive. You do know that they could test positive having smoked a month before the accident.

One time I was on a project and there was a need for a bunch of helpers, welders, etc out in the field. I could not believe how hard it was to find stable workers. There were a percentage of workers who were "stable workers", but beyond that, people were either not able to pass a drug test or get hired then fired within the first week or two because they would miss several days without calling, then come to work dragging arse.. As if they were trying to get fired.. Finally they ended up hiring people from south of the border.

I don't blame them. If I had to be a welder or laborer, I probably couldn't stay sober either.

I laughed, he was just dumb founded, especially when they knew 2 weeks in advance of the testing.

I don't understand why a significant amount of people in this thread seem to believe that 2 weeks of notice is sufficient for someone to "get clean" when the test will detect use 30+ days ago.

If you said that they were given a 30 days notice or something, then that would be understandable, but these people were given less than half of that.

I'm aware.

Do these people expect the applicants to cheat on the test?

Get you a bottle of shampoo, the small, travel-sized ones, and get someone to clean piss in it, then stick it up your arse.

Most people I know who smoke would whore themselves out to keep on puffin', so this should be relatively easy.

Edited for aggies: Pour out the shampoo first.

Dude, they knew months in advance, that if they were called, they would have to piss and take mechanical(see if ur coordinated) testing.

People turned in apps, 3-4 months in advance.

It's pretty easy to pass a piss test with a few days notice, even for weed. You just have to want it.

Spot testing? Sure. The current test where a joint smoked a month ago causes a failure? No

Rather a pot head than a drunk anyday.

That could be a good thing.

Well shite, you should have included that in your original post.

However, you weren't the only person in this thread to make a comment about being dumbfounded that people still failed a weed test after 2 weeks notice.

As long as you're using your own pee, I don't consider it cheating.

No, those of us that have service deadline/agreements for responses and quality hate it. It may not be meth, but it affects consistency and customer experience. It sounds like many are of the...it's no big deal, but would probably chew out some manager who I'd short staffed because two waiters couldn't make it in. Or theirmortgage app is taking to long or too mistake ridden

Yeah because this problem never existed until the day Obama took office.
