True but no reason to "live" there. Have residency, business entities, etc. all in other states.

My brother in law works for SpaceX, he mentioned while “HQ” will be at Starbase, most jobs are being sent to the McGregor TX offices, and many look to be remaining in Hawthorne for the foreseeable future

Now that Elon is a high profile "conservative" (really more of a libertarian) and endorsed Trump he has a huge target on his back.

Look at how the crooked minions in New York, DC and Atlanta are weaponizing the courts and government entities to attack their political opponents. California can't be far behind that madness.

I think we're going to see more of this in the future. Republicans generally don't behave this way and it's too much of a personal and business risk to tether yourself to these areas run by these nutjobs. And that's ignoring all of the regular disincentives, like high taxes and over regulation.

Will employees transferring get to keep their salaries? I’d assume you make more in Cali than Texas

It's clear that you don't actually "get" why he wants to leave CA if you have to ask the second question.

I was in Monterey a couple of years ago. Unless you’re walking around looking to pick a fight, one isn’t going to find you. The idea on here that California is just wall to wall freaks is absurd. I could randomly plop you down in 99.9% of the state and the people would be as “normal” as wherever you’d like.

I don't understand why billionaires would want to live in CA. It has some beauty, but damn you pay a fricking hefty price for it.

And the areas that are nice are shrinking. West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Malibu. Most of the rest of Los Angeles sucks now and is filled with Kenner looking areas that are 80% foreigners

Ditto for San Fran and the surrounding areas.

Tell me you’ve never been to the South Bay without telling me.. Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo , RPV et al are some of the nicest places in America to live.. the beautiful parts of LA County greatly outnumber the crappy parts , unlike Baton Rouge or Texas .

Harder said than done, Orange County, El Segundo, Costa Mesa have seen some of the brightest people in Defense & AI move there, no one is interested in Texas working in those industries.

There's plenty to shite on CA for, but it's easily one of the most naturally beautiful states in the country.

Well we hear about ppl leaving Ca because of being sick of the bs.

No one mentions liberals moving to states like Texas to spread their poison with THEIR bs.
