Oh no. Elon has a past.
This guy was the left’s hero before he bought Twitter. It’s a bit sad how quickly they turn on their own. (Much like they turned on Trump)
Who cares……. Save this crap for the tabloids.

Eh I’d say 90% of the place to be honest. There’s definitely some that still have a head on their shoulders and want to have honest rational discussions, but a lot (most) of them are how you’d described it.
And the worship of Trump has made most abandon their actual true conservative principles however you’d like to define it and will justify whatever it is he comes up with. Or even if not directly from Trump whatever they see would make him look good, the cheerleading for Putin and Russia for instance.
I dunno I was hoping after he left office that would die down and the Trumpkins (don’t get me wrong I voted for him in 2016 back when the idea was to drain the swamp not fill it up) would settle down and start being rational rather than worshiping an individual politician but it’s still going on.

Uh it is the tabloids. I’m not on "the left". Haven’t turned on Elon and said I love the guy in the OP. Trump deserved the things he got, I voted for him in 2016 but he completely changed from candidate Trump to especially the last year or two of president Trump. And as far as who cares…I dunno I guess you because you decided to click the thread and post in it?
Geeze some of y’all are so defensive and touchy.

It used to be pretty thoughtful and informational. Most of the boomers I know vote Republican because they want their taxes lowered but there's a handful I've meet that see conservatism as a culture/lifestyle. It just kind of pisses me off as Republican because I know a lot of people who are usually pretty conservative in their beliefs but they kind of feel like they are not welcome in the movement because they're immigrants, conservationists, city dwellers, or don't 100% fit that stereotype.

shite, try being a libertarian around here. The proggies hate you because of your stance on economics, and the conservatives hate you because of your stance on social issues.
ETA: And even the Poliboard libertarians hate me because of my stance on Ukraine. Libertarians on other forums hate me because of my stance on immigration.

Agreed it did used to be a pretty thoughtful and informational place to read through but over the years became more and more of an echo chamber and the moderates and left leaning posters were all driven out.
Regarding the ones wanting the taxes lowered I agree, unfortunately many of them don’t mind the government still spending money like there’s no tomorrow though. So all that does it put it on the credit card and make ours kids pay for if. It seems there are fewer and fewer true financially conservatives.

Not that I would go through any effort to find out, but I understand they are South African, and suspect more likely Dutch rather than English.

Also, these kind of things, exhibiting this pronounced liberalism, apparently it only happens in the shadows and in the dark of night and probably while overseas in a secret meeting of evildoers. Because I haven’t seen any of that. All I’ve seen is the liberal media and Democrats trying their damndest to hurt him.

The left has been worshipping Bill Clinton and Barack Obama for the last 20 fricking years. Before that the right worshipped Reagan. Some dumb fricks even really loved Bush.
If you think it's some strange phenomenon that people still like and want to follow Trump, then you have got a touch of the TDS.
