Here’s Democratic Nominee and potentially Joe Biden’s Vice President, Kamala Harris’ comments Monday:
One can logically derive from this statement that she is suggesting that less police on the street would be better, right?
Haven’t we tried that for say the last 30-40 years? Cops just avoiding certain streets / areas of town completely? How’d that work?
Also, all those back peddling saying “it doesn’t really mean ‘defund the police’ you retards”.......ummm, sounds Kamala got the wrong memo? Dunno
America has spent $15 trillion dollars on programs for those are at or below the poverty line? How’s that investment worked out?
quote:
“I think that a big part of this conversation really is about reimagining how we do public safety in America which I support which is this: we have confused the idea that to achieve safety, you put more cops on the street instead of understanding to achieve safe and healthy communities,” Harris said.

“That’s how I think about this,” Harris continued. “You know, in many cities in America, over one-third of their city budget goes to the police. So, we have to have this conversation, what are we doing? What about the money going to social services? What about the money going to helping people with job training? What about the mental health issues that communities are being plagued with for which we’re putting no resources?”

Another thing, how many social workers are in rural communities where pill heads are robbing houses left and right?
But yeah, let's defund our police.

American people as a majority are so goddamn stupid
we see it all the time on social media, but this recent silliness going on over the last couple weeks has brought it front and center. everyone wants to be part of the "cool trend" and trying to out woke one another with baseless nonsense.
they buy into anything and everything their celebrity overlords and mainstream media tells them to

Who has fought vigorously to imprison many many blacks overall.
The Senator that has done zero to reform criminal justice so far other than an anti lynching bill (last US lynching was last century unless now we're gonna be lynching isn't lynching lynching it means some other moving goalpost)

quote:It’s a motte and bailey fallacy with “defund” being the bailey and “reform” being the motte.
It was meant to be taken literally, but no remotely sane person would go for that, so they kept the slogan and decided to change the meaning.
quote:
The motte-and-bailey fallacy (named after the motte-and-bailey castle) is a form of argument and an informal fallacy where an arguer conflates two positions with similar properties, one modest and easy to defend (the "motte") and one much more controversial (the "bailey"). The arguer advances the controversial position, but when challenged, they insist that they are only advancing the more modest position. The fallacy has been described as the inverse of the straw man, in "replacing a weak position with a strong position to better defend it" rather than "replacing a strong position with a weak position to better attack it". Nicholas Shackel, who coined the term, prefers to speak of a motte-and-bailey doctrine instead of a fallacy.

Well for starters. You are the dumbasses using the term "defund" along with talking points of "disbanding"
How about you talk about "reform" instead? Oh wait. Because you actually want them gone

Then stop calling it defund they police because it’s about as dumb as you can get when it comes to messaging

I'll say this - if they defund money going to the WoD, I wholeheartedly support that kind of move.
That kind of thing alone would save tons of money and almost immediately prop up poorer neighborhoods.

I don’t understand how she didn’t leave the country after trump won. Pretty sure she was up in arms about it and talked openly about leaving.

When the Caliphate arrives and starts chunking homosexuals from rooftops, I would love to hear Ellen’s plan to stop them without the police. I’ll wait......
