This is a horrific tragedy. And it has nothing to do with the weapon of choice. He could have just as easily driven an SUV into the carpool line or any other number of things. He could have done much more damage with much easier to acquire things than a gun. Focusing on the tool is idiotic.
Sick and psychotic people will find a way to harm innocents no matter what methods you make illegal to them.
This is a tragedy. We should focus on mental health and safety in schools not the means by which a psycho inflicted harm.

Probably not far off. I would have to guess this was stolen or belonged to a relative because I am skeptical this rifle was bought by mowing yards during the Summer. Will be interesting to see where the rifles came from and how this person got the training to pull this massacre off?

Are you suggesting that the event didn’t happen OR that the government put him up to it?
Which pile are you stepping in? While I hate our government and think they’re all corrupt lying thieves, I do not believe that they are willing to kill 18 children for political points. Maybe I’m just naive and don’t want to believe it.

Like what jackass? “Mental health screenings?” Our government is actively supporting and advocating for the largest mental health crisis in modern history with the Trans movement. And you trust these people to apply this equitably?
Background checks? Already do them. Gun show loopholes? That’s some made up boogeyman problem that doesn’t exist. Remember when it was only two weeks to flatten the curve? This government will use any sweeping gun restrictions to disarm its population. And then they can go about their business unchecked, and our fall to tyranny will be complete.
The reason these things happen is because these people know they will face no resistance, will get their name plastered all over the news, and get the attention they crave.
Sorry, but there will always be evil in this world. Always. And you can cower in your room and hope it doesn’t find you. And it may not. But no amount of virtue signaling is going to stop evil.

I think everyone agrees it happened, and they shooter is the bad guy who deserves to rot in hell.
We should also acknowledge we have certain elements of government with, shall we say, interesting approaches to doing their jobs. Or rather doing as their leaders so order.
Watch the attached video. Ask if any such resources are ever directed inward:
