Time for the gun nuts to admit they view this as an acceptable trade off to their preference to have guns given out like candy. Just be honest, this is a trade-off to a modern society with free-for-all firearms and you are fine with it.

There are 350 million guns in the US with many more that have no record. You will NEVER get the guns, ever.

Time for the childish idiots to stop blaming guns and start asking why the humans committing these crimes would resort to such violence. Explain that.

Millions of people have lived around guns their whole lives and have never murdered a soul.

HUMANS shoot the guns, guns do not shoot themselves without human interaction.

You and your people supported domestic terrorism, where cities were burned looted and innocent people were killed in the name of BLM. Yet, you want to reference the 2nd Amendment. Yeah ok.

We shut down the world for months, hell years in some places. That's months and years kids are not seeing others, interacting, hell abusers got shut in with their victims for all that time. Do you really think dad/mom/brother stopped drinking and beating their kid because of a virus?

Well, less than two years ago you guys let violent criminals take over our cities, burn businesses and homes, kill and assault people and refused to prosecute them while getting rid of the police. So good luck asking people to turn over their guns. You already showed them your playbook.

You know it is possible to not follow either party’s position on every possible issue like a mindless puppet? Wanting stricter gun laws has nothing to do with support of the BLM riots, neither does abortion have any correlation to taxes, neither does immigration have anything to do with climate change. It’s possible to think critically on each issue and not be a part of a team who must follow each position mindlessly. So no I am not “you guys”

More and more health professionals are speaking out about this. The lockdowns and home schooling had profound negative effects on many school children in this country.

I’m just now seeing everything and this is sickening and every parent’s worst nightmare. Those kids didn’t deserve this and praying for their families and everybody involved.

The Buffalo shooter was in a no-gun zone and New York has very strict gun laws.

You’re right, wanting more gun control has nothing to do with anything but your own feminine emotions about “wanting to do something.” In the end it’s really just about making yourself feel better by saying “at least we tried” but deep down you know you’re not really changing anything. It’s a cheap and lazy way of pretending you really care about the problem.

There is a reason this is posed in the abstract

It's because it's a fair point, but it doesn't apply to you. Quite simply - nobody believes you. I've genuinely never met a freedom-minded, conservative leaning advocate for gun control in my life. It's completely illogical to anyone who approaches this topic from a liberty or evidence-based perspective.

We have a completely open border. Criminals will have no problem importing illegal guns. Just like they import illegal drugs now.

That's 21 rounds not counting missed shots. Seems like a 30 round AR magazine at the very least.

Shot 30 times and placed 21 shots during a high stress situation.

Most 18 yr olds don't shoot that well. Where did this kid get this experience/training?

Yes because the US has been giving out guns like candy for decades upon decades and pretty much anywhere’s you can drive one state over and easily obtain a firearm. I admit because of the over saturation of guns in our society, gun control measures would not immediately curb these acts of terrorism, but over time and the slow removal of guns from society it would certainly make a difference. Saying “well we’ve fricked this up so badly there is no point in trying to fix it now” is not a position I accept when this isn’t an issue in any other developed country
