Self-centered people that think they can ride an electric scooter anywhere/anyhow they want doesn't equal spiritual chaos. There's always been self-centered people in this world The electric scooter that's really fast is a relatively recent invention. Mix that with parents who didn't want to teach their child about cars and crossings (horrible death, but let's not act like anyone's concerned about all the accidental deaths in this world), this is what you get.

I almost ran over one of these on South Harrell's Ferry near the Lutheran church, pitch dark and the rider was dressed in dark clothing. Lucky for the rider I caught a slight glimmer of a reflector in the nick of time. My guess is they were from one of the homeless camps in the local woods. They're all over the place and have no concept of safety or traffic laws.

There's not a lot of details, but I'm going to guess the scooter was going in the same direction of travel as the car and never saw it. Car turned right into the gas station and hit it in the "right lane" of entry into the gas station.

I have stopped at that RaceTrac 4-5x per week since it was built 5ish years ago. I’ve ever seen someone on a scooter in the parking lot.
This is just some bad luck mixed with some dumb decision making being on a roadway at night on a scooter.

Headed westbound on a two lane road today, scooter on yellow line heading westbound as well...I slow down and get behind. Two cars come past us heading eastbound. I decide the right thing to do is pass him as I would a car heading westbound, put blinker on and cross mid line to pass....he then, out of the goddamn blue decides to turn 90 degrees across both lanes until he is going westbound on yellow line of eastbound lane. I damn near ran him over.

I’m glad you feel that way. She had an appointment and asked me to fill in. You’re really going to be happy. I eat mostly meat bread and cheese and have multiple undiagnosed food allergies
