Im looking for the 1 ton dually models. But I cant find them. Am I doing the internet wrong?

Who makes that? Im thinking of trading my F450 and would love the better fuel economy. However it needs to tow 28k cause thats what my tractor, disk and trailer weigh.

Thanks in advance.

They have semi trucks now that are hydrogen/ electric power, there will be a day your 1-ton is too

Que?

Solar doesn't really play a role here as a requirement at all.

Mandate is probably closer than you think. You just need the MPG requirements to go up just a little bit more to really start nudging car manufacturers to make electric mainstream. And it's honestly already happening. The only thing that's really missing is the widespread charging instrastructure, and I bet it's a lot further along than you think as well.

I'm willing to bet that more than a third of all cars driving on the road will be electric in 15 years. And double that in 25.

No, but they do come with a Tesla coil arc generator that can really freak out those annoying interstate tailgaters

My 50 years statement was saying that we will mostly be electric within 50 years. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that

As far as my opinion on solar, we need to harness the suns energy with the same efficiency and land footprint that we can now with fossil fuels. That's what I meant by "leaps in solar".

What are the emissions to manufacture the batteries for these electric cars?

Are they factoring in the emissions from the plants that produce the electricity that these cars run on?

This is the premise of the article. Did you even bother reading or are you so opposed to electric cars that you didn't bother opening the article?

Most people here are from the south. Anything that resembles "environmentally friendly" is clearly written by a cuck and is fake news.

Yes...but it's a pain in the arse. You will burn up your charge crazy fast.

Tesla Model X can tow 5,000 pounds

I have yet to see an article that takes into account the electricity production plant that those clean electric cars are running on

Do you people even read the articles? This is exactly what it was about.

Just so we're clear, you do realize that most electricity comes from the burning of fossil fuels right? More electricity usage = more fossil fuels burned = more pollution.
I drive a 4x4 truck, but this is bad thinking. Gasoline burns dirtier than natural gas(which is what most of La is powered by for example). Generating power at a power plant is more efficient and cleaner than doing it in each individual car.

We will soon have electric cars as the norm.

I'd drive one if it is just as comfortable as my current car AND I can recharge it as fast and conveniently as I can fill it up with gas. I can't be limited to 200 miles than 45 minutes to charge.

Considering they are making electric big rigs, I'll say yes. Tesla model X has a towing capacity of 5,000lbs. Elon Musk also announced last year they are working on a Tesla full-size pickup truck.

Then you can only go 200 miles, then charge for 4 hours to go another 200.

frick that shite.

Eh. If they can get it to around 350 miles realistically it's definitely doable with the right infrastructure.

Go that far, stop to recharge and eat for about a half hour, repeat.

Honestly, the elephant in the room about electric cars IMO is how spoiled we are about AC, especially in the humid gulf coast.
