I've heard of them supporting cars being made, not being able to go faster than their patrol cars..so what.

Guns aren't the problem. Mental illness in this country is the problem and it runs deep. And there's no easy solution. It's the result of years of many factors. Propaganda, advertising, economics, lots of things play into it. And it's not profitable to even attempt to address it.

Nothing is going to be done about this because one side is bought and paid for. We will continue to be a joke around the world who values gun makers profits over human life.

Second hand smoke attributes to more deaths each year than firearms. Why don’t you care about those deaths?

Vehicles also kill more people than firearms. We don’t need vehicles that go 100+ mph. Horses worked just fine for all of human history up til the last 100 years.

This country is flooded with guns, enough for every man, woman and child. If more guns made us safer then we should already be the safest country on the planet and these things wouldn't be a regular occurrence.

Gun ownership is at all time high and murders are down 50% since the 1990s

My thoughts on mass shootings...

Mass social media gives everyone a platform.

Plus 24/7 news cycle...?

frick everything.

And imagine if you don’t count urban centers. It would be even lower.

I looked at the second to last page knowing this thread would de-escalate into gun control and OT did not disappoint

Maybe it has something to do with medication we are taking more of, or food chemicals we were exposed to..thing that haven't had any true long term testing?

Maybe it effects people in the womb, etc. plus with 1st world luxury..and how society glorifies + coddles everything, may be a perfect mental illness storm.

Imagine if social media had been around in the 80s and 90s.

Murder/crime are down and there are more guns/gun owners out there today than then.

This isn’t a gun problem

It’s a damn shame that 12 hours from now that this will be nothing more than a political event, politicians and the media alike. Do we need to break this crap down? More than likely a white man will kill a lot of innocent people at one time VS young black men killing each other on a daily basis across this country. At the end of the day people are still dead, it just depends on how people chose to consume the media that controls far too many people in the world.
