but the people of El Paso are not like the rest of Texas.
Actually one of the things I love about it.

Pretty damn accurate.
I'd prefer to live anywhere else.
When English is a second language, things have gotten ridiculous.

When I drive through on I-10 I get a notice on my phone that I am in Mexico and certain charges might apply. All I got.

I've been by it (never went in) and it is massive.

Great food
And the same landscape as the moon.
Also, the food there is garbage.

My brother, who travels all over, says El Paso is a pretty cool town.

This is my problem with the area. Its in the middle of a huge desert. Its also wayyy too hot and dry in the summer months

I had a friend who owned a ranch/orchard which was on US soil, but South of the Rio Grande. (Yes, the border does go south of that river west of El Paso.) It was beautiful there with great pecan trees and grazing cattle. We rode horses along the river. Awesome place. But I actually liked the food in Corpus Christi better. Also liked Laredo a lot. Hard to pick a favorite place in Texas, but I would avoid Austin, Dallas and Houston in that order.

Truly a great place to be.
I spent the summer of '89 there in basic training at Fort Bliss. You can suck my White Sands NM coated dick for this post.
Seriously, I have been back since and for a border town, its way underrated.

Dude, like 10% of the people on this board could hike two miles.
Better make it 9.89% if you had me in that original number.

El Paso isn’t even America.

Last time I drove through there I was in the access road trying to get to a gas station at night.
I heard squealing tires behind me as a 4 door sedan with lights off blew by me and through the light I was stopped at.
Seconds later a police cruiser blew by with rollers on chasing this perp.
I filled up with my pistol in hand and got right back in the highway.

Google Lescombes Winery. Its in New Mexico. You can sit on the patio, eat Texas beef, drink red wine made from French vines and watch the sunset. Not terrible.

I knew a white girl who grew up out there and she said it was not good, socially as a white girl.
